They tend to patch the game every two or so months, so according to them, it looks like January for public release. Perhaps a beta will come sooner.
Save directing your complaints at me. I am not Asobo. Just reporting what they said in the last Q&A.

Are you sure about XSX version looking now like XSS? Do you have both consoles and can compare the graphics?
In layman’s terms, yes but in 4K, and yes.
How was the game looking on XSX compared to XSS during Sim update 10 period? Do you think it’s worth upgrading from Series S to Series X for better graphics?
It looked better than it does now, and it will look that good again once patched. And even now, the X looks better than the S ever did when running MSFS.
If you have a 4K TV, the upgrade is VERY noticeable, even now, and quite glorious when working as intended (patch pending). Worth it? That is up to you.
Loading screens give you an idea of what to expect.
Thanks for the information! I have a 4K TV. So I think I’m upgrading to Xbox Series X soon. At last they are available in the shops in my neck of the woods. I bought Series S as before there was no availability of XSX.
Thanks for your reaction, @AMC9HNEO.
There is, indeed, so much more to enjoy. And it remains a miracle, of course, that all this comes from such a small box.
For me, with an Xbox One X, this realization also brought me a lot. After all, day-to-day (beta) life isn’t perfect either and some perseverance and renewed confidence will let you know that these, in the end, pay off.
Definitely a blessing from FS’ perspective.. ![]()
Fully agree on this. Since SU11 it looks terrible on Xbox. Even they have confirmed that this graphical LOD/low resolution is a bug, it’s incomprehensible why Xbox community has to wait until mid of January to get this solved.
Below is a picture of London city which looks awful - especially not fully loaded buildings etc.
This has been explained.
And don’t shoot me, I am just the messenger.
They didn’t find the source of the issue until after SU11 was released.
This issue is not technically game breaking (although it is noticeable and annoying) so it won’t be fixed via a pushed hot fix. Hot fixes are for game breaking issues.
So, it will be patched.
And we ALL know how patching works in MSFS. Every two or so months, we get a major patch.
So, this is now fixed on internal builds, and users either have to wait for it to be released in beta, or for an official patch release before we get the fix on our home consoles.
As per tradition.
Annoying? Yes. But nothing new if we have seen how updating works with this sim.
It didn’t get fixed in time for SU11, so it will be fixed in the next major update.
When matters are explained ‘in this way’, victims can understand what happens to them, despite the currently hindering and annoying setback.
And look forward to a speedy recovery, with renewed enjoyment and confidence.
Thank you.
Ive resorted to un- installing all of my 3rd party content. No more multiplayer, and have been forced to turn off photogrammetry due to the LOD issue. And my sim is still crashing post SU11. This is the worst state Ive ever seen this sim on Xbox.
Has anyone had problems with rudder control? I have Xbox series S and am playing trying to play cloud version. When I try to use rudder, it does not recenter when I let off the triggers. If I give it left rudder it stays in that position and does not return to neutral. I have tried erasing the Xbox and trying again same thing doesn’t matter which plane I try. when i go to the setting screen and apply rudder it shows it working properly but if I go to external view, I can watch the rudder not working properly. I have tried multiple controllers to eliminate that being the problem.
Map the rudders to the rudder axis (if you are using triggers)
There is a fix coming… They’ve acknowledged it and you might get it sometime in Dec or Jan… Someone said they said Jan 23’ in their Dev Q&A so don’t write off the Xbox. Lol. One of the updates broke the textures and LOD. It will be fixed. Only a matter of time. Game looks jaw dropping on the Xbox, although admittedly not as jaw dropping at the moment for obvious reasons ![]()
SU10 was the high point. It was literally locked at 30fps… Buttery smooth all over the map… No stutters! ![]()
Beautiful textures too although people tell me when it first came to Xbox the graphical fidelity was beyond insane… They’ve gradually downgraded them. Is this true? I started playing only in April 2022.
I can promise you it’s a beautiful sim…you now how is people are we want perfection but really this is the next best thing
100 % agree SU10 on series X was amazing. The console can handle it
Thank you for your reply it is greatly appreciated. The rudder is mapped to the default LT and RT buttons on the Xbox controller. When i look at the rudder sensitivity it shows the rudder moving correctly. Not sure what I’m doing wrong, maybe I can take a couple of photos tonight and upload them.
What was the main difference do you think with Xbox X compared to Xbox S since you changed . I have an Xbox S its okay for what i need. I had xplane 10 prior of course on PC . In the early stages it was always msfs. Its was the cheaper option for me with Xbox S thats all , no other games are loaded only flightsim and i love just going on it flying all over the place.
I used to sim, when the product first came out way back. Then stopped, was not prepared to spend more time, tweaking, updating kit on PC. So stopped for decades, I purchased an X box S last year specially for MSFS. Happy with it, for wish to spend more time flying, (and I do, a few hrs per day) Many simmers enjoy that technical aspect of preparing their PC, graphic cards, cooling, etc, etc, thats fine. However, if you wish to just turn on the console and play. Xbox is perfect.
