News for SU15

I don’t think it will be released just yet. I have been testing the beta and they have been doing an amazing job. Lots of improvements.

Yep, I only started using the beta a short time ago, but I’m very impressed.

the fbw a380 will be out, before one of the richest companies in the world manages to release the SU15-update for this game. sarcasm off

Anyone who’s here and registered for an account and cares enough to post about a free update is here because they’ve enjoyed this game and had amazing experiences because of it. Anything even remotely bordering on rudeness or entitlement, given that, is so puzzling!

Thanks for all the work going into SU15

Ah no, not at all. There are many other developers out there that are so much worse. For a developer with a large user base I think they are doing OK at the moment. I’d say there’s been a noticeable improvement in their communications over the last 12 months, and I hope they keep it up. For sure though nobody is perfect and there’s always room for improvement.

You must be new to field of games. Many devs go months or even years without a response!

Anyone that played Cyberpunk from launch thinks this is amazing communication.

They really aren’t! They have development update every week and Live Developer Q&A every month! I would say that’s pretty good! The issue is, they may not necessarily be as transparent as they should be with some of Sim limitations and what they promise may not necessarily be implemented, as they should, and they need to communicate that better…

Ditch SU15 it’s borked. Focus on msfs2024, remove wasm completely for 24.

Reading this thread makes me wonder why it is so hard for a lot of people to behave and be polite. Even if you are frustrated or think they are not doing a good job you should be able to say so in a way you would appreciate getting feedback from others.

Sign of the times. People can not be thankful for what they have, and are happy to create a storm in a teacup for things they feel entitled to. :man_shrugging:

Nobody forced you to PLAY this GAME !
Really can’t stand the point here in this „community“.

Watch the real world news and be sad and angry… ok. But folks, this here is a game.

Just calm down everyone.

This topic definitely proves the old saying that you can’t please everybody all of the time, although it would certainly seem that there are some here that take it a step further and can’t be pleased any of the time

it might need clarifying what WASM is in MSFS, you sound like you’ve never programmed in the sim. You’re probably right that Asobo won’t drop it because there are legacy 3rd party FSX developers have not migrated to the much more powerful HTML/JS support in MSFS. Asobo program their gauges entirely in html/js, not C++ using the retrospectively added FSX/simconnect/WASM conversion layer, so they obviously didn’t get your memo. If you think C++/WASM is the future then good luck with that, but in MSFS it’s a complicated conversion layer that seems difficult to maintain.

Hoping against hope that Microsoft see the light, and the next generation of consoles have double the memory. Stop penny pinching, and offer them with realistic specs compatible with modern software.

Yes, that seems much more likely.

hey, just to give you a recent update, on Justflight forum, Blacksquare has been evocating the possibility to stop waiting for SU15 to release the Duke

Yeah, and let hundreds of addons which are sold via marketplace go incompatible in the process. And totally backtrack on the forward compatibility of the addons which was announced.

Edit: /s, Just incase anybody thinks I am being serious.

these are all converted fsx addons. no harm. get used to build native
yeah announcing full compatibility also for wasm was a mistake.

Right, FBW A32NX and upcoming A380x, inibuilds A320, A310, A300, TFDi MD11, Asobo’s own ATR, all these are FSX / P3D addons which are running in some legacy compatibility layer. /S again. All of these aircraft (including the a380x, probably) use WASM btw.

Please do consider all aspects before posting a blanket statement like that.
