Windows 11 beta.
Every past version on my pc have worked fine even the alphas.
1.18.13.0 worked fine when AI traffic was turned off.
.14 and .15 are fine even when loading aircraft, but guaranteed a CTD whenever any plane starts rolling down the runway (no CTD if I just sit on runway).
Tried. Changing process priorities. Compatibility settings. Paging file size. Clean install. Clean windows install. Alter various graphics, data and traffic settings.
Any ideas? Sim is unusable for me as is unless I like admiring the view from the runway.
Yeah, but not to the overall level as SU4, I would guess… but I didnt take any pics for direct comparision. Might just get me riled up and I am currently just flying, although I moan, that the VATSIM bug is still not fixed (but I know, it is comming - just dont understand, why it got broken in the first place as it worked for about 1 year just fine).
Thats a bug for you but not everyone is experiencing it. I’ve been playing the sim all day in lots of different weather conditions and have experienced no banding or posterization. I’ve seen it in the past in the sim but the blue sky is beautifully graded for me now after hotfix 2. As of today its the best I’ve seen the sky look in the sim. There’s still issues with pixilated clouds but I don’t get it all the time and its been there from day one as far as I can remember.
As mentioned in the release notes, ATC is still not fixed. Keep getting incorrect altitudes and it stops working after awhile. No solution to get it back working again during flight. No point in doing long IFR flights at the moment

and my clouds also display pixels at the edges of the cloud. this is very noticeable
Well I do IFR flights and I have switched off the in-built ATC since day one, sorry it was just too hard to bear with my background. I am a fan of VATSIM … but that does not work either currently. So if the in-built is your only option, I feel with you.
Just out of interest make sure you don’t have any Nvidia freestyle filers running (if you have an Nvidia card and use filters) because they will 100% definitely add colour banding. If you don’t and still see banding then obviously its something else.
Is every imperfection an emersion killer?
Just send it in as a ticket and they’ll look into it. I don’t see what you are seeing on my end. And according to many other pictures here there’s no banding too. Hope that it gets fixed for you.
Well with the fact that any update or hot fix requires a clean install of the sim each and every time due. This go around while redownloading 128gigs…for the 6th time. windows defender flagged a corrupt file in msfs2020 as it was downloading. So guess what wont work again. Due to an update that only breaks it. again. And that I will have to clean install, again. seriously. is it possible to write a program that will update existing files and not require a complete reinstall? I do suppose that is to technical for microsoft though
