Out of votes

I’ve tried to vote for a topic but I couldn’t because I’m over the “limit”. What kind of limit is this? Numbers? I also removed some votes as suggested, but still no new votes possible.

Sorry to say, but what stupid rule was born here and why?

Voting is a way for you to express which issues bother you the most so it can be used for prioritizing.
If users vote more or less everything up, nothing has been achieved.

Not saying this is what you have been doing, it’s just my take on why there is such a limitation in the first place.

Cc @Jummivana - I saw someone else report this the other day. Has the voting cap been lowered or is there a potential bug?

Allowable likes have been decreased too.

I understand, but what is the limit number? Many of my votes over the last year are outdated and topics were closed. That means I can delete the votes anyway. But why, if a topic is closed it still counts the votes?

Lol!!! For real? Sorry, I didn’t “like” your post just in case!:smiley::smiley:

Maybe if they stopped breaking things with each update, we customers would not need to vote so much.

Something is broken in the voting system. I had 22 active votes and removed 14 of them because they were obsolet or outdated. I definitively want to keep the remaining 8 votes. But I still can’t add another vote.

conspiration theories are welcome

Wow! You’ve been sharing a lot of love! You’ve reached the maximum daily likes for today, but as you gain trust levels, you’ll earn more daily likes. You’ll be able to like posts again in 28 minutes.

Am I spreading too much love!

The voting system is ridiculous and doesn’t amount to anything anyway, pointless worrying about it

Today first time I voted on bugs…but am only allowed 4 votes…Nice…Like KJ said…maybe if they stop breaking things, and start fixing items with lots of votes (Some old as well never addressed) They wouldn’t need to worry about a voting issue.

The issue has been escalated and we’re investigating

Hi all! If the topic is closed or archived, the votes are released to the users and can be applied to other topics but the vote count on the topic remains. TL0s do not have votes allotted, TL1 have 10, and any higher trust levels should have essentially unlimited voting.

I updated this page to be clearer: Trust Levels and How To Advance

Thanks for letting us know, but 10 votes for TL1 is not enough.

It’s really easy to get to Trust Level 2, it shouldn’t take you long at all.

  • Enter 70 topics
  • Read 70 posts
  • Spend at least 70 minutes reading posts
  • Visit the site for 10 days
  • Reply to at least 8 topics

After 333 day visting this forum, with 7d readingtime and 38.1k topics read, im not trusthworty enough for voting. Well then, let’s write these 8 replys, so we can vote again :

“Everything to this topic is said, but not by everyone.”

Careful you’ll run out of replies next.

The Trust Level system is designed to prevent spam accounts, and to reduce the harm that new users can cause, accidentally or on purpose.

I am a big fan of it in general, but one limitation of it is that each level can only have one defined threashold. Unfortunately, that means some people who should probably get bumped up don’t unless they go and do certain actions, like in your case posting replies on seven different topics.

What I can tell you is that TL2 is quite a bit more powerful as a forum user than TL1, which is why there are some decent requirements in place, those requirements however have been lowered since they were first developed at the launch of Flight Sim last year. As an example, we no longer require X number of likes given, and X number of likes recieved.
