Parking brake cant toggle on/OFF

All aircraft I get into are now doing this since SU3 update. It worked fine yesterday in SU2.

  1. Get in cockpit of C172 or PC-12 or CN210 or Norden - so I assume all planes.
  2. Attempt to put parking brake on while starting up.
  3. Parking brake does not toggle ON/OFF with mouse, but it does light up to the blue colour.

Yes I know how to turn it on and off but it is not working for me since SU3. I can see the settings are there correctly in the controls but do not work. This is odd because it worked yesterday in SU2!

Someone else reported an issue with this. I haven’t done anything on my end to get it to work. It works like it always has.

It is weird how this occurred after the update???

I cannot reproduce this issue. Starting C&D in the C172 at YBAF the parking break works perfectly for me. It toggles correctly using the mouse, the keybind and simconnect.

PC, Steam, Sim Ver 1.5.27.0

I have the same problem. Try it with C408, C172 and SAAB 340.

It works well yesterday

One more information, I have the MS store version

No issues on MS Store/PC version of the 172/G1000 wheel version. Works with mouse or keyboard commands that I’ve previously used.
No add-on’s or external programs running.
Regards

Yeah I have the alpha/ bravo as well. Click your bravo in the controls settings and look for an errant binding for the parking brake. This is a little bug in the sim for the bravo with su3 and was also in the beta.

It work.

Thank you very much for your help.

Happy to help. Seems it just happens with the bravo for some reason.

It’s probably because of this bug from the first days of 2020 that has been fixed (only on 2024) :

If you have already set a control with a 2 position switch, a toggle won’t work while the toggle is ON or OFF

Thanks for the info folks, Rick12251 and bagolu, I did have it bound to a switch on the Honeycomb Bravo and that works. I will look at the links provided.

It would be great if Aerosoft could update their bridge to reflect this if it is their responsibility or if SU3 and Asobo are responsible then for them to fix it. I rather liked having 3 options to toggle the brake on/off.

HONEYCOMB BRAVO and SU3 issue (Apparently was reported in Beta SU3 and in 2020) - needs fixing please.

Have you also got the Bravo?

Yeah I got it working now by deleting the Parking Brake setting on the Bravo

I once use a toggle switch on my flight controller(TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition) to control the parking brake, and it locked me into having the parking brake on—I couldn’t turn it off no matter what I did.

yes, that was the bug from the original msfs2020 v1

For some reason since update 3, I am now unable to set the parking brake in any aircraft.

Any ideas on how to regain the parking brake?

same happened to me. It seems the update also updated my bravo controller and added parking brake bindings there. I had to delete those bindings to fix it. Found that answer on another thread about the same issue.
