Piaggio P.180 Avanti II by FlightFX

the copy protection of the marketplace from msfs2020 was cracked long time ago

That doesn’t stack up because they don’t sell on other stores to have that comparison.

Hey, does anybody know if this plane tracks cabin temps anywhere? It has the cooling/heating knobs so I’d figure somewhere it does. Maybe I’ve just missed it, either way love the plane and hope it keeps getting better!

Good question! I flew it yesterday in 24 for the first time and don’t recall getting nagged like I do when flying black square models in 2020. While I get the system depth thing, cabin temps are just something I don’t really need to know about for flight simming. That said, will be delighted then all those models come to 24, little red and blue lights notwithstanding LOL!

I don’t know why but I really enjoy managing cabin temps lol, it doesn’t impact flying one bit but it gives me something else to juggle whilst flying and I like that. Also I guess I really don’t like when I can turn a knob or press a button and it does nothing. I would prefer inop or not active in that case. Agreed though, excited for everything to come to 24!

I’m still waiting for a plane that has my mother-in-law’s nagging voice saying ā€œit’s really cold in here!!ā€ That’s the incentive I need.

What would Scully want? Seriously, for me there is enough to do on a short flight in the P.180, especially single-pilot IFR or high altitude VFR on top. Avanti is so fast that I have to stay way ahead of it and am thankful for the automation it does have, which is really excellent IMO.

Agreed! my cabin temp issue isn’t an issue, just my OCD wanting control! I’m extremely grateful that this plane exists, we need more planes of this quality! (Not that the game lacks quality planes, but can you really ever have enough?)

Is it possible to do a simple ā€˜Direct to’ without having to put in masses of other information? Sorry purists but I often just like to fly direct from a to b VFR.

I basically do only that sort of flights, no airliners for me. Discovery all the time. It’s supereasy with the Vespa, pardon, Piaggio

Left side of the FMS between the seats is a button ā€œDIRā€ press that, select a way point (I believe you can enter one as well) and hit EXEC

If you mean without entering INIT info, performance, etc I’m not sure. But I did do a flight yesterday that I only entered the flight plan from the EFB and nothing else and it did fine

My wallet says ā€œyes,ā€ but my simmer brain says ā€œheck NO!ā€

This really is a beautiful airplane, well done FlightFX

yes agree its very nice. another Prioline 21 bird. would have loved to see some details like secondary flight plan or so but still nice.

quick q: how do you close the door to the toilet? it’s getting really embrassing to keep having to use the bathroom in front of the passengers

Sorry about the late reply, I e-mailed FlightFX and asked them the same question and they replied no it’s only available on the Market Place. Trouble is I haven’t been able to buy from there since 2023, When I try I keep getting the ā€œAnother transaction pending messageā€, I have put numerous tickets into the Zendesk and they have run out of solutions for me to try. Looks like the P180 is a plane too far for me.

Looking at the Avanti for 2020 use and have a few questions which I hope someone might be able to assist with. I only get a short time each week to fire up the sim and so system learning isnt that easy to do at the moment, so…

A. Can the TDS GTN750XI be used with the Avanti in any meaningful way?

B. Simbrief integration possible?

C. Anybody seen any Streamdeck profiles for the above?

D. This one is a long shot. Anybody seen or know of a profile for the Flitesim CLS60 FFB yoke? If not, I was thinking of rolling one up based on the Beech Duke.

The aircraft looks superb although it is a market place job which isnt quite so superb. It fills a speed and range bracket which would suit my style of flying well, but I have zero experience of the FMS and given the available time, really would like to utilise the GTN if at all possible.

Thank you all in advance for reading this far!

avionic is the Proline 21, nothing to do with any GTN. so no. completely different but not less powerful. similar to the CJ4 in MSFS2020.
yes flight plan you can sync with simbrief iirc. indeed very nice aircraft. good dev.
edit: tbh we are happy to have something else than a G1000 or GTN. get yourself started with the CJ4, its a differnet world, takes some time with the FMS. if you know the 737 its similar.
