Pilot's lounge - What did you do in MSFS today?

My 1927 Latécoère encountered a temporal vortex and traveled 98 years into the future.

Completed a not so perfect landing in Saba.

My issue with landings isn’t vertical, I think the Citation X is actually easier to flare than the Longitude, or the HondaJet or the Vision Jet.

What I butcher is staying on the centerline. Or sometimes even the tarmac. I just can’t get crosswind landing right. I know the theory, to fly in an angle so that wind+air speed equals a runway heading ground speed vector, then use the rudder to turn the nose right when flaring so that wheels don’t get a sideways force upon touchdown… But I mostly just end up being swept off the centerline, or sometimes, just like today, I end up even going off the tarmac.

But then again, this is not a Citation X issue, it’s a skill issue on my part.

Clearing caches and hoping for no SU16 update

Because I met two pilots in real, complaining that their home field was default in MSFS, I spent the whole afternoon building this small Aubigny (LFEH) in the middle of nowhere in France

EDIT: and it’s released https://flightsim.to/file/95820/aubigny-sur-nere-lfeh/687519

Crosswind landings are always challenging and that can happen to me as well. The key is to put a bit of aileron into the wind as you are de-crabbing before landing, otherwise the wind will push you off the runway.

And stay on the upwind side of the centre line ready for the decrab.

I’m trying, i’m trying. I just need more and a lot more practice. I guess it doesn’t help that nowdays I can hardly do two 1 hour flights a week. But luckily nop lives are on the line

I know it’s greedy and all, but will you release it on flightsim.to ? It looks really nice!

After a long time of not flying in the sim I decided to jump back into it and continue my Route 66 flight. It felt good to get back into the C310R and it was like I’d never left. Went from Sayre, Oklahoma to Amarillo, Texas. Mostly good weather until I got to Amarillo, ran into some rain there though I was still able to stay VFR. Made a pretty good landing despite a bit of a crosswind. Felt so good to be backing off the power over the threshold and just gently touching down on the mains. Only took one photo over Shamrock, Texas but it’s not glorious so I left it out here.

After that flight I jumped in the JU-52 and played around in PNG for a bit. Attempted some landings at Bugalaga Airstrip which was quite challenging but fun to try.

At least you didn’t play around in JPEG or GIF

Would have been great to see what happened after that

Landed without issues. It actually flies pretty well on one engine.

Would you consider it being realistically modelled when running on one engine?

Hello.
Today I finished the changes to darken the cockpit and the cabin of the Cessna 208 Grand Caravan.
I’m here to share it with you.

Cessna 208 - Dark Cockpit and Cabin

Packed up PC which is constantly crashing and sent it back to builders to check out components for faults. Nothing I did or anyone else suggested worked. :exploding_head:

I got frustrated that literally no quality of life fixes have been implemented and that Microsoft/Asobo don’t give two diddy’s about the game’s state.

Managed a perfect flight on xbox series x from Lahore to Fiumicino in the longitude
