This must be it.
Now I just need to work out how to get the FCU and EFIS to work with PMDG to some level.

For my Boeing-styled equipment (PFP7, PAP3 MAG and P3N), everything works without any further effort besides running SimAppPro.
The current version of SAP didnāt do that for me. It did with the -800 and -900 but I ran them when there were already supported by SAP. I had to edit the ini file for the -600 with the current version.
I am so tempted by this but my only experience of something approaching this size is the F28 and the RJ. Will I struggle?
Itās not about size (and this is a baby Boeing, as things go), itās about the systems. All the NGs are operated essentially the same way. Watch some videos about the PMDG 737 lineup (big fan of Flightdeck2Sim - heās a real-life 737 training captain). Boeings are more hands-on than an Airbus or modern business jet, but very rewarding to fly.
Not if you follow the tutorial. And should you need some help, we are standing by just as hundreds of people here.

More hands on than the F28 or RJ?
I donāt have experience with those aircraft. As I said though - itās not about size of the plane. Watch some videos and see if if it seems like operating the systems is something that interests you.
If you can fly F28 and RJ, you can surely learn to fly the 737. Iām sure you would like it.
Thanks, thatās what I wanted to hear ![]()
About the same. but different. Thatās the fun of flight simulation!
Any idea for marketplace release ?
They submitted yesterday, so hopefully Monday or Thursday next week.
True! I still remember my first day with the 737NG for FSX. I had never flown a realistic airliner in a simulator before that. I followed the tutorial and learned all the essentials in a single afternoon. Itās a surprsingly straight forward aircraft with mostly logical panel layouts and flows that are almost self explainatory. The greatest hurdle is always the FMC, but even that one is surprisingly easy to learn. Turns out that aircraft engineers actually try to make it easy on pilots so they can focus on the important things.
Of course mastering all of it will take some effort, but doing your first flights without having to look things up or having to hunt for buttons, knobs and switches will happen in no time.
Same here! I believe that tutorial flight was from London to Amsterdam. The visual upgrade from FSX default aircraft to PMDG cockpit was amazing. Very educational too.

Thatās new and fun!
After pushback was complete the LIGHTS switch set itself to āTESTā and all lights displayed accordingly, even though I did not move the switch. Additionally, the AT ARM disengaged on its own.
