About 50 degrees slope! Needed almost full power and park brake on to stop it from slipping backwards!
Iāve landed beside the Statue of Liberty and in a Central Park pond. The Icon A5 is my main GA
I donāt even know how you did that. Between buildings?
Short landing - you had near stall the entire time?
Are those giant wheels? What plane is that?
So to landā¦you had good speed and pulled up - then went uphill?
Didnāt think of the pondā¦Daytona Speedway has a pondā¦now I am thinking⦠
That has happened to me if it is longer - I do the waypoint thing, and then I come out and no gas! Which makes sense, but I am usually confused as to WHY I keep losing altitude and everything is quietā¦
I am surprised you didnāt get sad music followed by, āyou collided with an objectā¦ā
Stalled it out just over the building and set it down going up hill. Turned around and rolled down for the screenshot.
Good God!
Sometimes you circle for a bit thinking, āhow am I going to do this?ā Then, after crashing, āWell, that didnāt workā
Do it! I love the fact the A5 can water land and takeoff lol
The new Grravel! GotGravel made it here on the forums. Itās lots of fun!
Also thereās the equally capable, but less powerful Carbon Cub:
Yeah basically approach, fly up the hill, modulate your power to land and then add power before you roll backwards! itās very challenging though! It can land on steeper, but it wonāt stop thereā¦
OMG exact same spot!
I taxied around for a while to get the right spot for the drone camera⦠no Russian airforce or secret services tried to stop me
Beautiful!
This one would get me thrown in the tower of London for sureā¦dropping in to visit the Queen like an aerial MIchael Fagan with a crafty Crafter landing on the Mall (doging trees and cars on the way downā¦)
Belly landing. I did not get tower permission for this
no fire department showed upā¦
First time it succeeded without the black crash screen. Used ICON A5. Only way is turn off the motor far before landing⦠and take some space to glide and slow down. Descend gently. Then flaps up⦠and stall to near zero knots, a few seconds before touching down and steer left, to stop further damage.
