QualityWings 787 for MSFS has been announced!

If there are no problems for you then sure there are no problems for everybody.

If there are problems for you and not for me, then the problem is not the plane. We are both using the same plane.

That’s a very amusing philosophy. Aerosoft yesterday announced that their latest patch for CRJ went to beta. I bet noone told them that CRJ is flawless because for mdapol it just works without any problems.

I didn’t say it was flawless. Just like you didn’t say it was worthless.

There are many things that could be responsible for perceived “bugs”. Hardware, incompatible mods, MSFS core code, environment, drivers, pilot error, etc.

I fly CRJ in MSFS on regular basis, I love the plane but it has some trouble. For example AP LNAV zig-zaging in turns during 1/2 bank restriction, there are even real CRJ pilots (CRJay for example) on Aerosoft forums complaining about that. Aerosoft admitted they know it happens to some people and they have a hard time to fix that because it doesn’t do that in the main programmer debugger. And there are another issues like FLEX rated take-offs etc. etc. Or small bugs like a main switch on the fuel panel that is in a reverse position. That drives me crazy because it destroys the immersion for me and that bug is there for a very long time and Aerosoft knows about it.

So I was reacting to your reply “Aerosoft CRJ is working fine. No problems there.” Oh, that is wrong. There are.

Fenix should be out in days according to Aamir

Too many Off-Topic posts, and users engaging each other. This thread is sliding closer to getting actioned and closed. Keep it on the rails folks.

Sorry about that, CasualClick. I’m pretty sure folks will relax and stay on tracks. No need to close the topic for the moment.

Looks great!

Hm I have to say that I am really impressed! This gear with the brake disks brake cylinders various cables and hydraulic fluid hoses is beyond ultra-detailled.
QualityWings can surely bring this 787 to FS20 without any big modifications or upgrades in the 3D model or cockpit.

Have you heard/read any news from QW, guys? I have no news since March. Is there anything of interest, or we have the accostumed silence from QW?

I seem to recall they said in their forum that since their estimates were so far off they would stay radio-silent until the project is in a much more advanced state.

But apparently it is still in development.

A B788 would be really nice. Asobo’s B78X just looks a bit out of place at some airports because of it’s length.

Well, then they’re in silence mode. I feel we’ll have no QW 787 in years
at least not in 2022.We’ll have to “make do” with PMDG’s 777, which will release in Q1 2023 (if there isn’t one of the usual PMDG delays). But I like more the 787 and I hoped having it this year. A shame.

The -9 is my favourite. I do not understand why nobody cared to make those models in all this time ( can use the same cockpit basically )

Same like an dedicated 747-8 FREIGHTER version with a short upper deck .

QW has 788, 789 and 78X for P3D. I assume they will do the same for MSFS, but with their pace, we’ll be old men when they release them.

Legends say the ghost of this simmer is still waiting for the next 787 update patiently

If you are on PC you can use mods to get an actual freighter version with a short deck.

@Chaezaa

Can you sent me a link ? I only found unrealistic cargo repaints on the long deck

No way that one releases in Q1 '23, more like Q3 or Q4 '23 and I wouldn’t be surprised it’ll be 2024. The speed at which the 737 versions are releasing should be a good indication.

If everything goes well - Q1 2027 is a realistic date!
