@DigitalJonx Hi there. I seem to have that problem of black navigation screen and radio again. Maybe since SU9. It’s with default skins as well as those 3rd party ones you kindly pointed out how to fix on our Discord chat. Is this a known problem?

I don’t have PMS or GTN activated if that would matter. Any ideas?

EDIT: also shutting down the plane (master battery off) doesn’t always ’end the flight’ now in the normal way, I assume because the radio was never actually on so it can’t switch off to trigger the log window. Sometimes it does so maybe that isn’t the problem.

EDIT 2: my mistake I did have the GTN750 mod (official Optica one) and mistakenly my Addons Linker had enabled both the -wtt and the normal one, but even with just 1 active it has black screens.

Feels a little bit like this one has been left behind. A lot of the excellent free GotGravel addons have been updated but not this one.

After a lot of complaints from people wanting to do a full checklist shutdown, MS has now set the logbook appearing after switching off battery/avionics to “DISABLED” by default.

You can still set it to do that but you now need to enable the feature in the setup.

I’m confused, are you expecting support for the freeware version?

They specifically said they are no longer supporting it I’m pretty sure, and they are supporting the payware version.

This thread is about the pay version.

I disabled all the official GTN addons and the screens work then. Still need to try the non-wtt one alone but not sure why it suddenly broke. Was working fine last time I flew it.

Whether this thread is about the payware version or not, the statement was that the free versions of GotGravel addons have all been updated, the implication being @Saltash53 was looking for support for the old free version, and there is nothing about the title of the thread that says this thread is about the payware version. Then he also neglected to say what needs to be updated. Or even directly say which version he wanted help with. Perhaps @Saltash53 doesn’t know the free version is no longer supported and he came here looking for help?

Hence, my question to him.

Er, no. You misread my post. I am talking about the paid for version which was last updated in March. The free GotGravel addons are all now updated with Modern Prop Physics and Computational Fluid Dynamics The paid for addon is not. The promised sound updates are also missing and the autopilot still needs tweaking. The free addons are great but the one I paid for feels a bit overlooked and we know GotGravel are now working on other projects so while I’m sure there will be updates at some point, I’m wondering when. This was released in March, there were I believe two minor updates quite quickly and then, nothing.

Thanks for clarifying and adding detail on what you’re looking for to be added. It’s hard for developers to know what you’re asking for if you don’t give the detail up front.

I’m not asking for anything new and I’m not the first to ask either!

I didn’t say you were…
I just wanted to understand what you were asking for.

We are still working on the Optica. We feel it is very stable in SU9 so its not our primary update. When our team updates aircraft, we like to include many features instead of releasing small fixes every week or so. Right now we are working on modern flight physics, but being a rear ducted fan, it’s taking longer than usual. Once we get those settled, we will add the other changes and release a new update. Like I mentioned though, the Optica was stable SU8/9, so our team focused on fixing the Got Gravel Aircraft, Mykrode Aircraft, and Gee Bee R3. Please keep in mind our team is not a Development Company but a Development Group. Got Gravel, Mykrode, twoseventyinc and myself are working on many separate ventures. Gravel is a team member of Flying Iron, I’m the founder of Flight Simulator Freelance Society, while Mykrode and twoseventyinc also work with other developers like HCG and his Mosquito Helocopter. The problem with Microsoft Flight Simulator is the ammount of game breaking changes that occur each Sim Update. Most the time for developers, its 1 step forward 4 steps back. The more aircraft that enter our hanger, the longer it takes to sort them out every update. Just know this project is not dead, the Optica is being maintained and will be updated when we are 100% sure the quality meets the goals we set.

Thanks for understanding, here is a list of what we are working on so you have full transparency of our teams workload:

Still holding out hope for the “Doge is my Co-Pilot” mod.:wink:

Its actually complete, the only issue I have is that most 3rd Party Planes and Asobo Planes placed their Co-Pilot in the LOD01 Interior or Exterior Model. When youre in the Virtual Cockpit, youre in LOD00. And unfortunately very few planes have placed a visible co-pilot in the LOD00 model file. So as of now, it works perfectly but only from exterior view. I want it so you can see the doge as your fly sitting next to you.

Ill have to dig deeper into model merging so I can place a Pilot_1 node in the cockpits.

Not sure if this helps you or not, Jonx: https://flightsim.to/file/29606/otto-pilot-avatar

Yeah, this unfortunately can only be seen from exterior views unless the developer allowed copilot visuals from cockpit.

Hello, GotFriends!!
I love your product, EA-7.

However, the landing light and taxiing light are not working well.
I have reinstalled and rebooted and it didn’t help.

I purchased this aircraft today specifically for VR flying (in particular low and slow).

It is a joy to fly and I would agree with all the other positive reviews in this thread. It is a very stable aircraft and fun to fly in VR. It’s STOL capabilities are impressive! Great addition to the hangar.
