Servers Down - Stutters - Connection Issues [June 2024]

It seems to be fixed now, my second flight had no issues.

Just tried it again. Still slow and very low quality.

Hello folks,

The Bing Maps issue is now resolved and normal service is restored. If you are not seeing the resolution, you may need to restart your sim. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while our support teams worked to resolve this issue.

If you are still seeing this issue, please post in this thread to let us know.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

And the Connection warnings are back

Restarted the sim and the issue continues for me.

The best part about an issue/thread like this is all the people who come out to post here.

The forum has slowed soooo much over the last 6 months, especially, that I sometimes think (in jest) that there is just a handful of us that are still fanatical about flying.

I’m glad to see that isn’t the case and that there are many people still going at it!

Yeah, still not fixed for me. I’m in the Pacific Northwest part of the world. I saw another thread to try a VPN and see if that makes a difference. I tried several places around the US and world, no difference.

  1. Very low image quality on world map
  2. Constantly told I have no connection
  3. SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW

I rebooted the PC, restarted MSFS (several times). Same results.

Hello @irwinmfletcher9,

I noticed you posted earlier (approximately 16 hours ago) that you were experiencing network connectivity issues. There was no outage occurring at that time. I suspect the problem you are having is isolated to either your PC/console or home network and is not related to the recently-resolved outage that started a few hours ago and was affecting all players.

Please try the troubleshooting steps described in this article on our Zendesk support site:

Thanks,

Just a heads-up that I was having connection and scenery loading issues last night as well, about 02-05z, and I haven’t had issues like that in years. Up and down network speeds, CPU/GPU and memory usage were all normal.

Funny part: even in offline mode it was stutter every half minute… so something wrong in architecture

xbox x user in the US here- confirmed it works for me.

Yes, I’d tried to turn off online mode and bing maps, but still had the stutters.

I wonder if something like the rolling cache still gets updated from the servers if you don’t specifically disable it?

Hello,

I just tried everything in the troubleshooting.

Rebooted PC
Rebooted Modem
Checked Speed: 1.1 Gbps
Changed DNS to 8.8.8.8
Everything else using data work perfectly - just not MSFS 2020
VERY SLOW START UP
Graphics look they are from 1995.

This jsut started randomly yesterday, no new installs, no changes, just started in the middle of a flight.

I tried changing the servers from withing the game (top right corner) - no difference.

Any other suggestions?

germany it work at moment :+1:

Mine seems to be working again, i know you cant inform every user about an outage, but maybe would be nice if you could inform xbox users that a product sucks on xbox before letting them purchase it, i mean you obviously give the green light before it hits the market place. Or atleast let it be test before you buy?

Is there MSFS support other than these forums???

This such a wrong message because hardly anybody have connection problems themselfs but is just a MS server problem.

ive been away for a while, and just checked here. stutters are gone now

Looks good in Virginia! Little choppy on approach? Was hoping to see some performance improvements on last update

Well, this is getting very frustrating dealing with all of this trouble shooting! Your servers are finally working but now I’m stuck on checking for updates on both my pc’s!!! I will follow the guidelines in this forum, but hope your new app msfs 2024 will certainly be better than this? This cannot happen again!

Re sync time fixed one of my pcs but not the other one! I have had no issues for a long time and here we are at the finish line jammed up again!!

I’ve got it back now after rebooting and after sync three times!
