And i tried a flight tonight (at night) key west to havana in the 404. I thought they fixed the over bright gps units. I gave up trying to use it. I couldnt even read it
Itâs not a fix on the screen but the way emissive light is configured on a per-aircraft basis. To fix it in the 404 will require an update from Carenado.
Anyone else notice that if you lock FPS at the driver level or using FrameRate Limiter, it allows you to turn FG on, but it doesnât work past the setting you have? So if you have it set at 30 and try to boost to 60, it doesnât work? Yeah. Weird as hell. I turned off all frame limiters outside the sim, used the internal one at 50% of monitor refresh (for 120 aka 60) and turned FG on natively in the sim and it boosted FG to 120. Weird.
Maybe it just is me.
Has anyone else noticed that if you change the graphic configurations in the Sim a few times (or maybe even once) in a little while Sim becomes unstable, either stutters heavily, CTDs or screen freezes?! I think this has been on the fix notes for the past few beta updates but hasnât really been fixed!
Flight Condition âLiveâ not saved again ⊠reverts to custom each aircraft change, sim start-up
Is the custom preset Live though?
I donât think 2020 has lens flare in the cockpit, but 2024 does. Eyes donât work like that.
You know you can alter your default view right? You do not need to set up a custom view for your default camera. The change to reset camera view actually means I have to press F twice to get back to my default view.
I use a head tracker, and OpenTrack, and found its ability to adjust you default view far easier to use than tweaking custom cameras. One centimetre up, pitch view down 2 degrees etc., and save these out as custom profiles. It doesnât auto switch with the plane, but a small price to pay for such convenience in other areas.
You can change the default view and save it for all eternity in the sim, you donât need to set a custom camera or use head tracker to save custom profiles. If you change your default view in the sim it will be saved on a per aircraft basis so you donât need to do anything next time you fly
Similarly, the shadow of a rotating propellor often shows up in FS2024 (not FS2020) as a sharp, perhaps stationary image. This is how it can look in video footage (due to synching with the frame speed), but with the eye the shadows should appear blurred like the propeller itself.
But I do need a head tracker as I use a head tracker, and OpenTrack has far better control of configuration than the built-in software.
I use head tracking as well, but I set up all my default views in all my planes the way I want it, then I never have to configure them again and I donât have to switch profiles or anything. It just works.
The problem is my head will be in a slightly different position each time, depending on where I place my chair. A little left or right, maybe a littler further way, you see what I mean. When I fire it up I press a button to reset to my âcurrentâ position, and OpenTrack is set up with the âdefaultâ view so that I see the view that I want. That works perfectly for me.
I donât think SU2 had any improvements on this front, but honestly it doesnât need to.
maybe the final release today? or
Hope not.
They still havenât even responded to the blurry RWY/TWY-lights:
Looks awful, although someone above responded it was âfixedââŠ
I was sort of hoping not Latest beta (and the two before that) has decreased performance and introduced stutters. 1.4.11 if I recall was for me perfect. It allowed me to upscale from default 1920x1080 to higher resolution and use TAA still with good FPS og no excessive use of VRam. For a short while I was in sim-heaven
I hope the same!
The latest beta 2 update brings a lot of micro stutters.
I also really hope this issue will be addressed.
Itâs definitely not fixed yet.
Otherwise, Iâm actually very happy with the current beta (1.4.18.0).
