I’ve had problems getting the sim online again after the servers went down earlier, which I did shortly before dinner. Then I got another mouse bug that occasionally crops up with my Radeon 6800XT, where I get two small ghost mouse cursors, one white and one black that float in front of you no matter where you move your head in VR. That either needs a restart of the flight, or the sim.
Anyway I’ll try again later tonight and see if clicking on a switch in the plane with the mouse will make the cursor disappear. As I’m using the centre mouse button to switch on the menu bar, I can’t use that.
Other than that, the sim looked good in VR and was smooth, with the same settings I used the day before. Menus look way better now that the AA issue has been fixed.
No one so far has mentioned the biggest improvement: straight take-offs and landings. Gone are the days of super sensitive yaw at high speeds on the ground!
How many FPS do you achieve? I run a similar setup and can go OXR 100, RR 80 and LOD 400/200 with everything else on ultra. I get stable 30 FPS and I am pretty happy since yesterday.
Just (2021-10-20 at 13.00 zulu, from ESSA to ESGG in Sweden. SU 6 seemed to perform without stutters, nice and crisp. The live weather at ESGG was absolutely awful, raining cats and dogs, i saw nothing until I was down to 200 feet. Very realistic! And scary! Update went very smoothly!

Very satisfied with SU6, the only thing I am noticing is a very annoying vibration in the vision when moving the head, is anyone else experiencing this?

I reported higher FPS earlier but after playing with the new settings it kinda looks much the same as before. I’m seeing the mouse cursor issue and often get a sim stall or CTD when coming out of VR. There is some unsteadiness that bumps the view occasionally. I like the higher contrast but I wish it was a little brighter using a G2 Next months DirectX 12 should be interesting.
If it’s what broke the ability to complete bush flight legs, thus all remaining legs, I’m not very happy with it.
If it’s what has started my VR going dark when I sometimes zoom in on the dash to see it better, I’m not very happy with it.
If it’s what has suddenly made the cockpit views jump around between positions, I’m not very happy with it.
Lost some bindings with su6. Not sure why, not sure which ones until i try using it. SU6 one step forward many steps backwards. Is there any file which i could try and recover that would show me the old settings/bindings? any help appreciated.2021-10-20T13:00:00Z
I’ve only done one flight so far KMSP to KORD but I feel like there are WAAAY too many trees in suburban areas overcrowding houses ..
Might be just the way it is up there I will keep an eye on it on more familiar areas.
Other than that no real issues either way feels the same and the A320nx and 787-Heavy mods both work .. certainly not the disaster SU5 was with CTD’s etc.
Maybe a bit of an FPS drop but then have been flying some scenery heavy areas ..
I think this is a VERY solid update. And lord knows I can be cantankerous with Asobo when they lose their stuff. SU5 was pretty catastrophic and caused me to fly X-PLANE and P3D until WU6. Since then it’s been rainbows and unicorns. I haven’t fired up XP or P3D in 3 weeks. I need to go back and revisit them soon. But the PC-6 and DC-6 are keeping me engaged. SU6 looks and runs wonderful. I have a feeling some lessons have been learned by the ladies and gents at Asobo and Jorg. Good on them. Onwards and upwards.
