往 The patch everyone was waiting for (Jul 30) has been released! (topic emotion grade: lively, but still civil)

no, it just let you dial in the frequencys yourself

Nope, you have to manage the ATC yourself then.

I will give it a shot, thank you.

If you think colours are washed out go to cfg file and change the colour grading to 0. That should do the trick

It could be a setting somewhere else if you want to set the transponder yourself, automatic setting from this stuff is a feature since FS2002 and actually not a bug .

Was hoping for a quick fix for the broken Elevator Trim Axis issue.

Anyone know the size?

Ya know, I will say, I was a bit peeved myself when it came out. I had literally 8 crashes in a row; the sim simply did not work. I couldnt fly. I had my freakout, posted some nonsense on here, vented. Got called out (and rightfully so) by a mod. Apologized to them. Got myself together. And now we see that within what, 36 hours there is a hotfix? And I know that theyve been working on a few of these things since before the release, they just didnt make the release.

Ive said it before and I let my frustration get the better of me today, but Asobo is on the ball. Sure, this was a foul ball, a missed PK, however you want to put it, but they are working hard and they got this out to us pretty darn fast.

I get the frustration, I really do. But Asobo has our back. They are really doing their best. And for all my bellyaching, I appreciate the hustle.

Shift like this?

Releasing a HF within 48 hours to all users, that is an indication that indeed there is something critically wrong with the GA release. It is not because ppl complain for no reason好o add-ons installed for me and its just annoying, read the Release Notes you want to put up with that Like controls not working, FC to desktop, etc from what should be a mature product after 1 year and what has a beta test program. These guys now know their regression testing has been bitten by the push to move to Xbox this month by a VP/Exec type over at MS, trust me I worked in a big software conglomerate like this and like this happens to DEV team all the time.

Like an over exposed photograph.

100% as night follows day a patch it seems always is required to fix an update, strange to me as an update usually is to fix something thats currently needed altering/fixing.

Its far easier to fix known bugs that users are reporting than to detect them ahead of time. If you just take your car to the garage to have new tyres put on they probably wont notice the bearings on your front suspension are worn but if you tell them your car is rattling and they take a look they will find the problem pretty quick. No different here.

Well, this is not a MSFS exclusivity
Ok, the bugs now are extremely annoying, but in software development, you live to apply patches.

After every major release, we are stuck for months of endless fixes because Joe is to lazy to do his ******* work, and insists on staying in YouTube the whole day and he cannot be fired because of the lack of documentation for our legacy code from 1992!!!

I hate my job.

I agree, and its exactly why I included in my comment about the beta testing. Theres no way that they werent already aware of virtually all of these issues/problems/bugs before release of SU5.

The release date was set and the management hates to lose a milestone

They where probably already with code freeze and working on the patch a day or two (if not more depending on how your team works) before the launch.

The list of fixes is big because they already knew about what was wrong.

It is a practice, but my team will do exactly the same thing in a couple of weeks time

The products are different, but the process will not differ a lot from company to company

Yes, I get you. Youre probably right about the beta testers reporting some of the faults, but they had the deadline to get out by. Personally, Im not too bothered, I expected there to be some teething problems, this is the most significant update theyve ever done, with major changes to the engine. Most of my flying is done at the weekends anyway so happy to wait for a fix.
