Hi, I am new here but not as a FS user. I remember 1995 and after but nothing before. On top I have been using FS 2020 only since about 2 months (marvellous compare to any other FS) because I didn’t have the RIG to cope with 2020.
That said, as an old FS guy, 2020 is a game changer, before we used FSX/P3D and X-plane with 100’ of paid addon… yep it was expensive to get a nice looking FS. MSFS 2020 change that, it’s perfectly fine without addon.
with MSFS 2020 they have change the way FS look big time and got 10,000 of the user and it’s ALL GOOD.
Now 2024 will be awesome I am sure, be patient, go play outside 
for now.

Mine has looked the same all day. I started downloading about 6 min after it went live (ET). It froze at 97%. I waited for 30 mins. and thought well I could just reboot and maybe it would finish. Oh no, Its not 9pm and I haven’t made it past the screen you are showing. This is ridiculous, this sim is supposed to generate its graphics and textures over the cloud. I do not have any confidence that it will be able to do so if their servers can’t log or sign you in. I am requesting my $100 back. I don’t feel like eating a days worth of bugs.
agree Microsoft as big servers , entire buildings of servers arround the world…,and pc gamer we paid for console game?
Absolute disaster! Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe how i feel and frustration level. When I did get it in i experienced multiple bugs, including mouse not panning in cockpit mode, key, throttle, joystick bindings not updated correctly or at all, etc.

Two years from now, all of the bugs will have been worked out , it will pretty much work as promised, and no one will remember this fiasco until MSFS2028 rolls out.
where are the 50 Aircraft on free flight standard version?maybe in few hours they give some game key to there favourite streamers ,to avoid “weather storm” like alpha preview.

I feel we got completely duped. And yet I knew MSFS 2024 was too good to be true considering no one got to review it before launch, considering the only things we’ve seen are the typical heavy marketed ‘commercials’ from MSFS team, etc. Free flight needs a ton of work.
All those servers they have are for processing AI nonsense that no one asked for.
After spending $200, all I can do is watch the glowing alpha testing videos on YouTube of the game I pre-ordered. It’s been 12 hours, and I’m still unable to access it. I sincerely hope lessons are being learned from this situation. Moreover, I hope Microsoft takes action to rebuild the community’s trust that has been eroded today, not to mention the trust that diminishes with each passing hour as the product remains inaccessible.
I picked up my premium deluxe today for $189 only to come home and sit in a queue. I’m out going to uninstall and go play something else on my day off work (just to play this).
I’ll come back in a few days when hopefully this will be fixed, What a major let down…
All this happened becuase they wanted a closed beta to keep the high expectations for the sim. Look, it’s so nice, people will be OH WOW! Guess what? You killed more than 70 percent of the users, and I am being nice to get frustrated with this waiting nonsense. Open beta would have been better and would have let users report issues. They did not learn from previous updates, SU, etc. Every time they did not beta test those SU, I was a mess to the point that there was always Beta Testing. They have forgotten about those moments and are looking at what is happening now. I am not even in the game but for what it seems in a few videos airports are still ugly, night light at airport is non-existent. If MS was trying to surprise us, they did, but in a different way.

Well you might think it strange but I consider it totally true.
We all knew how MSFS 2020 was hyped and than after sometime , they started degrading it’s graphics, clouds and ground textures.
Tons of threads were posted on forums, Despite high end PC the performance never improved even in VR.
and now 2024 was advertised , people again bought it like crazy and funded,
Hence they did the same thing.
People cry, they forget and repeat the same mistake again

Please guys, flood MS and Steam with requests for a refund. Only the potential loss of money will make them do better.
