I didnt buy the Sim but I will. I have a Pimax 8kx/7900x3d/4090.
What do you think has improved? What is maybe worse?
Are some Bugs fixed, like different renderings between left/right lense?
(Alpha Channel masking: VR broken transparency on left eye (alpha-channel masking))?

I wouldn’t at the moment, no surprise it feels like no attention has been given the VR again despite the claims otherwise, who ever check vr implementation must have been asleep at their job. I’d hold off for now if I was you
I did not see any change in VR. No improvement.
But there are quite a few bugs, though.
The VR Toolbar is not working reliably, The EFB is not responsive, and probably many more things that I did not find, as VR is not really usable like this for now.
OK I wont buy this until at least the rendering bug is not solved. I cant believe this one is still not solved. Xplane, here I am again…
Objects no longer pop in, they render correctly in the distance.

when it works … the aircraft cockpits (that I have tried) look better, but the sim does have a mind of its own rather randomly, everything is much smoother and scenery does appear clearer and more detailed than 2020, when it works …

for me so far it works better / at par with MSFS2020. Taking aside current bugs to all 2024 (melted photogrametry for ex.), I had quasi no stutters with all max settings (Ultra) and no tweakings done so far. The new terrain is awesome, and I was very happy with the walkdown feature experience in VR.
Some bugs with the toolbar not popping up, the EFB tablet don’t work when popped up.
And some caveats: I don’t have yet big airports I used to fly in 2020 nor tried big airliners. I suspect I will have to reduce my settings here…

Its a mixed bag… Some things broken entirely such as no ability to complete career mode in VR. I have had better and worse performance and visuals and just trying to work out cause so I can get a better experience. Last night I got things running well with everything medium settings in dev mode with about 52fps switched on half refresh in pimax so locked to 45fps and everything was smooth for about 30 mins then just fps crash to 30fps and could not get higher again even reducing to minimal settings and low res??? The plus, for me, is that it’s smooth.
But the ground, when flying, is blurry and low resolution…
