Just think I was a Beta tester. The Sim has improved since August 18, 2020 with each update. But the last one is unforgivable due to the MANY CTD. There is not one error in this SIM that is worst then trying to play with a CTD, starting to play with a CTD, playing in the middle with a CTD and coming in for a landing with a CTD.
I fly the world at all different times and weather from Japan to all of Europe to Singapore to the US and canada. ALL CTD problems
That is a good point. I thought I had made a mistake over egging the cake a bit with the addons however as only 3 are installed now after a clean install it does make me think there is a a something fundamentally wrong in the base sim.
Not likely. If there were a base sim issue, it would affect everyone. Look in your computer, and you will likely find the issue. The CTD thing just isnāt wide spreadā¦that alone speaks volumes. Not what you want to hear, but it is what it is.
It is not a good time to check for issues. Since yesterday everybody have been experiencing CTDs probably due to Bing data. I have never had CTDs besides those related to bad addons. Yesterday I had my first. If you fly today from an addon airport which contains some .cgl file then your sim will most likely crash too.

Had about 4 CTDās since it was released and mostly caused by me being completely new to PCās and messing about with settings,but then I only have 8 add ons in my community folder so i understand how frustrating it will be for you, but in my experience the base sim is pretty stable , hope you get it sorted
The fact that you reinstalled multiple times, thinking that would fix it even after it didnāt fix it, tells me a lot.

Not any other game or flight sim. As for Picka5string have you been reading the Forums since the last update with all the increases in CTDs. NOT everyone BUT TOO MANY responses in the forum. I can count replies on CTDs for you to see more than 100 people responding is too many on the one subject of CTD.
there is no doubt that some users place more demands on their rigs based on the type of āflyingā they like to do there is no doubt that the sim plays well enough for some and not as well for others. there is no doubt that individual users operate their individual equipment differently. there is no doubt that some folks know how to adjust their PCās and optimize for gaming and simulation better than others do. there is no doubt that many users are constantly tweaking while others will set things up once or twice and then leave it until or unless issues arise. there is no doubt that all of that contributes to the relentless complaints by some - and refuting by others that this sim is ābrokenā or āunfit for purposeāā¦
there is no easy answer for this ongoing problem. people want to have the best experience possible and many have spent considerable time and money to have it but are not getting there.
Iād like to think we can all acknowledge these truths without acrimony and that MS / Asobo are working toward resolving these issues in good faith.

100s may be replying about CTDs but that ignores the thousands who arenāt experiencing this.
Not making light of the issues, just that it is still a small proportion.
Iād suggest those having CTDs report the problems through zendesk so tickets can be raised.
A couple of things come to mind.
- Is the power supply you got with your computer grunty enough to be reliable with the demands of the 2080 graphics card?
- Is the graphics card overheating - when I upgraded to the 3070 I had to put an extra fan in my computer case to deal with the temperature build up on both the CPU and the graphics card while playing FS2020.
All ctdās which started from yesterdays dev Update have a prob with Bing Data and āsomeā Not āallā addons. Turning of Bing data and respawning on the Airport addon where the ctd Happened wont Happen again. But this is Not the Solution, there is still a prob with Bing data and 3rd Party AddOn, even out of the marketplace. Hope it will be fixed on tuesday. So annoying and looking terrible without Bing data.
When I said 100s I was just speaking of the people who reply on the forum. I do not have the numbers but as I report to Zendesk I bet there are thousand with this same CTD problem. Working with computers and programs for awhile. There are not more than a handful of software products brought to the market , as a salable product ,with consant CTDs from more than a handful of people. Software is not always stable as the warning says before you buy it. But after forced updates alot people start to encounter CTDs is a MAJOR problem and most important for any software producer.
So I have now stopped buying all add-ons and if this continues much longer
I am just going to wash my hands of this sim and go to x-plane.
