On the multiplayer options - if using either ALL PLAYERS or OFF (GROUP ONLY) the sim allows you to choose CUSTOM for weather and time, as shown below:
On LIVE PLAYERS the sim always uses real time and live weather and does not allow you to change this later - you can see other aircraft who also use this same setting and vice versa. More on this in a quick guide on the MSFS multiplayer here.
Once loaded, if you go to the weather options via the toolbar, you can change the time or use real time (and switch between) and for weather use both live weather or custom weather (and switch between).
The toggle remains active.
These options remain available as long as you are using ALL PLAYERS or OFF (GROUP ONLY), and allow you to change what you may have defined in the previously set weather conditions (at the main menu before FLY NOW).
I agree, most of us are aware of those configuration menus and they function pretty well. We all use them, however, they do not assist me when it is desirable to change a previously saved flight and I have executed the loaded flight and desire to change the weather conditions. IMHO and my personal view, it would be nice and advantageous to have the ability to make changes to the saved flight while in that flight and also to be able to save the new configuration as a new saved flight.
Small flaw: that we have to click in the search field when we choose our departure and destination. Just put the focus on these fields immediately. Definitely low hanging fruit.
Second: why canât we pop out the gns430 in the DV20?
Third: the sim crashes when maximizing the window during startup. When I do this directly after startup, no crash. After 50%, always. Easy to replicate (for me).
Fourth: no separate key binding for fuel pump on and off. So not possible to link to switch up or down.
Fifth: fuel in liters n/a.
Six: some ATC-phrasing is weird. âYou are cleared for touch⊠and go rwy23â.
Seven: wind sock jumps around weirdly, not smoothly with the changing wind.
Eight: red light sits on right wing of other planes. Should be green.
Nine: operate xpdr with numpad not possible.
Ten: control profiles per aircraft.
Eleven: MSFS is the goat nonetheless!
Maybe this isnât a bug/flaw, perhaps more like a âwouldnât it be nice if. . .â thing:
but I would like:
A way to do things like monitor frame rate, (as is currently available in dev mode), without turning off logging. . It would be even better if it could be a small pop-up or overlay rather than the current dev screen that takes up like 10% of my display.
To have a way to monitor and log resource utilization as is displayed in the current dev-mode frame rate display - perhaps overlaying it with an associated pre-recorded flight - so that the user can see what, when, and possibly why things happen when they do. (i.e. If I do this, at this altitude, in this aircraft, with this much scenery, then my flight stutters, etc.)
The ability to capture the current settings - especially graphics settings, as a part of this log would be absolutely killer.
If youâre on PC, there are already ways of doing that. XBox Game Bar (or whatever itâs called) has a frame rate counter. So does GeForce Experience. You can use MSI Afterburner and RIVA Tuner to generate fps data on your screen as well.
Personally, I use Steam, and I use the built in fps counter. I have a small, green, uninstrusive number at the top left of my monitor at all times for all my Steam titles.
Adding a new one. The lack of Light Pollution during snow storms (as Iâm in Colorado and weâre getting 8-10 inches over the next 24 hours), couldnât see KDEN until I was within a mile or so of the terminal. And, no it wasnât visibility issue due to the weather.
People have been wanting that for some time, and I agree 100%. As an avid astrophotographer, Iâm painfully aware (jealous, actually) about being around urban areas in the sim without a hint of light pollution.
Although I would qualify that as a wishlist item vs a bug.
Since you are an avid astrophotographer, I bet you prefer Not to have as much light pollution IRL.
You should post some of your photography and inject a few MSFS base aircraft in the scene for us to ponder with a beautiful celestial background. Caught my interest right offâŠ
Hello, did you get a chance to check out the terrain issues within/along Caspian Sea? While you are at it, the issue with passenger cars on the runway and taxiways at OIZC has not been fixed either. There is even a bridge over one of the taxiways (which shouldnât be there). Hope these issues get fixed.
My Apology, I have not yet checked out the terrain issues. I realized that I had removed part of the world to save space on my SSD (Yes, I am one of those needing a bigger NVme Drive⊠oops.) I will get there soonâŠI hope⊠There are so many very important Bridges and Taxiway issues. I am totally with you, hoping that soon some of these glaring issues will be resolved.
The auto-turbulence that has returned from SU9. Doesnât matter what the weather is or what you have wind and gusts set for. Fly over a flyspeck patch of land, turbulence-activated. I donât want a turbulence-free world, but at least something variable or seemingly for a reason, versus something that just exists because youâre over land textures.
AI aircraft (real traffic) is still bugged. Iâve seen planes randomly disappear, they never seem to taxi around, and just get in the way (Iâve seen some just stop on the runway)
AI piloting still seems broken. I donât use the feature a lot, but when I do, she never adjusts the altimeter, flys above what ATC tells her, and constantly overspeedâs.
Runways and taxi ways in winter (Canada) are covered in snow. Itâs annoying as the textures are the same as on the ground (outside of airport areas).
