Did some circles around John Wayne watching the AI airliners depart and arrive… Not sure how ideal these takeoff angles are. ![]()
Did somebody say SF-260? Yes, please!!! Thanks SimSkunkworks!!!
Handsome plane flying over handsome scenery.
My trusty co-pilot.
Very crisp handling, snap rolls are amazing, aerobatics in general are amazing. This plane makes me want to do more aerobatics for sure.
Final at LKTB.
I am so excited to finally have an SF-260 back in my hangar. I missed my RealAir 260 from the earlier MSFS versions, I think SkunkWorks have done a great rendition of this fabulous airplane.
I left OIMN (Bojnord, Iran) where yesterday I had to make a little stop to refuel because in this area, fuel tend to be rare or FBO absent in FSe and I prefered to be safe than stuck in an airport
reached Ashkhabad Bezmein, Turkmenistan TM0F (in msfs icao is : UT1G )
then short hop to UTAA (7nm flight) to get some assigment and refuel (again) as it’s an international airport, definitely more choice !
leaving UTAA
road to TM0L / UT58 - Kalai Mor, Kalai Mor, Turkmenistan ! it was an interesting flight as there is not really lot of nav aid, I had to fly along the Kopet Dag (name of the mountain chain at the turkmenistan / iran border)
after 50nm east of UTAA lost my VOR, flew more than 100nm just following the road to Sarakhs I was surprised, the mid-way expected VOR didn’t provided me any directional guidance, by luck I received the NDB and found easly the sarahs airfield
Originally I planned to follow the radial 120° but then had to end my flight only using HDG (applying the same 4° of wind correction my AP used while flying out the UTAA’s VOR) and few visual landmark I noticed from the world map before spawning ![]()
I regret to not been really used to the timer to evaluate the travel distance briefly figured with the dme I was traveling ~2.5nm in 1 min making my last ~60nm around 25 min to fly …
this white relief is a good news !
in that desert waiting for a river going from south to north
after 27 min here we are, runway in sight ! all goods !
(in the worth scenario, plan was to fly south until rvier split in two then roll back to north)
well to conclude my day, it was near of 2h30 of flights with big amount of doubts, requiring a lot of awareness but ended with a big satisfying feeling
it has been very hard to maintain the 10 pictures limit, I was willing to illustrate every step, but had to remove some, I hope those selection reflect well my adventure
Furthermore, another flight with the Turbo Arrow from Just Flight, proceeding my path towards the Canary Islands.
Today LEMI - LEAM, 1 hour trip.
I wanted to do a 2 hour trip, but it was already too late to start that.
Here are various pictures for you to enjoy or ignore.
Photo Album
My shadows are funky as I move they leave a ghost trail. Not sure what’s up with that. It was also noticable on the propeller.
I could swear these windows were cleaner when I first got the Arrow:
Hanging out at 8000 ft looking for some cooler air over Spanish landscape:
I should do more over-land flying it’s just more fun to look at:
The sun is setting quickly, will I make it before dark?
Turns out, only just:
I didn’t even know there were lights here:
Anyway, sleep-over for today:
Simair:
World Update 14 was released already some time ago, but only now I had real look at it.
It was unbelievable, how the weather changed. Yesterday I had to cancel the flight, because I couldn’t see end of runway. Today it was clear sky.
I planned some sight seeing in in west Slovakia. The flight was planned 1h40m with 4 sights: Čachtice, Bratislava, Bojnice, Strečno. But I forgot to count in actual sight seeing. So in 1h20m I visited only Čachtice and Bratislava. But in Bratislava I flew over all my homes. And the final flight was LZPP
LZIB.
Slovak air force museum at Piešťany airport
Čachtice castle
Here it was really nice to recognize all the small towns around my home town: Pezinok, Šenkvice, Modra
Bratislava
I guess I will get contacted by authorities for low flying and making noise in the old-town.
ATC told me to go-around, because there was still another aircraft at the runway. So I landed only after midnight. So my flight was actually yesterday.
Flew the 737 600 from Wayne County Ohio to Key West Florida
Carenado 182RG, Prague LKPR to LKTB. A nice cruising plane, trimming was effortless and I never used autopilot because why?
The 182 RG loves putting the wheels up and the petal to the medal.
Left downwind for RWY 27 at Turany. Did a few touch and go’s, then a quick circuit around the vicinity, then back for a full-stop landing. The scenery is really nice in the areas around both of these airports.
Happy Aviating!
Taking off from Düsseldorf (EDDL) following the river Rhine south to Köln
and Bonn:
Heading further south over the Rhine Valley
making a quick detour over Frankfurt, …
touch and go at Egelsbach (EDFE)
and heading further south, overflying Heidelberg, …
the Schwarzwald, …
Freiburg …
and landing at Basel Mulhouse (LFSB)
few flight in comanche UT58 → OAQN
then did another one to test the new version
OAQN → OAMN
I totally forgot about the community group flight, which one I have joined a bit late
OMG that s ton of people !
Been a while since I’ve been in the 172 and it was all updated and a good fly. What motivated me was the second unseasonal bit of rain that passed through LA. Was gratified to see it sprinkling at Whiteman while it was actually sprinkling in my patio in Sunland. MS/Asobo, thanks. Also, thanks to inibuilds for their great KLAX with perty accurate gate parking as well. Whew!
Flew the ATR 42 600 from Key West Florida to New Orleans international
