What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 2)

Yet another TBM 930 flight, Basel to Inglostadt.

Weather is not so nice here, very gloomy

Breaking out

And some sunshine

That’s a stiff wind here at almost 50 kts

Something about these flat landscapes

Almost there … ETSI

Great someone wiating for me for once

Flew my OV-10 Bronco from Esbly to Lee-On-Solent and then to RAF Woodvale north of Liverpool. Great weather, fabulous plane (might be my current No. 1) and much fun dropping into Liverpool while the solo from Freebird was playing.

Cloudy skies above Northern France. You might be able to spot the Seine through the hole below.

Leaving mainland Europe at Le Havre.

Yes, I love the built-in smoke generator of the OV-10. After an “attack run” on Shanklin, UK.

Turning north at Gloucester.

Photo recon at Stoke-on-Trent.

“Sorry officer…”

Got-Friends Grumman F4F-4 from Bob Maxwell KOKB in Oceanside CA, to Borrego Springs L08, with a few shenanigans along the way. She’s definitely a roller moreso than a looper, but I coaxed a couple of nice loops out. Definitely thrilling to fly, pretty to look at, and very challenging to taxi, take off, and land.

Roaring over the desert foothills was never so much fun!

I love this plane from every angle.

Getting the right speed on approach was really challenging. The elevator trim isn’t as effective as I’d like, this ain’t no Cessna, nope.

Part of me doing a really lopsided attempt at a Cuban Eight.

Folding wings make for convenient urban use. Watching them fold and unfold is such a ■■■■ kick, golly I just LOVE this stuff so much. What a gorgeous and detailed model from got-friends!

What happened next?

I noticed that it was sunny in County Kerry which I thought was odd, so I flew there from Southampton. EGHI-EIKY

It’s a bit of a tight squeeze to get onto the stand but I just managed to avoid any contact.

Dusted off the JT-A and flew from Newport KUUU to Plum Island 2B2. Fun little strip, 33 was the best for the wind, but it is hard to break out from the terrain.

So cool to see Placerville developed - by that gent who’s been perking up more than a few GA-rich airports in California, vbazzillio. And, another signature Dr. Pepper machine (actually 2!) for a relaxing cold one. Nice flight from KVNY.
