Flaps is up.
Cloudy in San Francisco area (as usual), so I paused California dreams bush-trip and started Swiss northern lakes bush-trip in WB-Sim C172 in real weather: LSGG
LSZB
It was super nice spring day. Standard temperature, light breeze, almost clear sky.
Geneve:
I was hoping that ATC would separate me from traffic causing wake turbulence:
Bern ahead, capital of Switzerland (not many people know, that it’s not Zurich):
And final. ILS approach is over the town. It seems strange, because of the noise caused in the town.
Miramar to Lemoore. What started out as soaking, became a scenic ride along the Sierras and down into the San Joaquin Valley. Gonna miss the rains, though.
Been flying the new Aerosachs/Erasam Tecnam P2010. It may look like a Skyhawk, but it’s not - it’s faster and carries more farther. But you have to unteach some Skyhawk habits especially at takeoff and approach/landing.

Leg 2 of Swiss northern lakes bush-trip in WB-Sim C172 in real weather: LSZB
LSZH
Another nice spring day with clear sky, calm winds and nice temperature. However, some lakes were still covered in ice and snow. I didn’t expect that.
Thunersee:
Vitznauerstock:
Rigi:
Lucerne and Lucerne lake:
Rigi:
Zug and Zugersee and Zurich lake in further right:
Zurich and Zurich lake:
It was nice to see places virtually that I visited before IRL.

Another night waisted. Monday night I spent a few hours re-mapping my MIAP control box. Missed flying. Tuesday got everything running again and did a flight from Missoula KMSO to Helena KHLN. With Helena insight and working the ILS Approach the sim froze. Another night waisted.
Tried again tonight. Dune Update or something again. MIAP control assignments gone again. No flaps either on my Bravo control. Another night waisted!
Gotta keep certified in the Hawk, so I practiced a bit and got things right enough for a morning flight from RAF Cranwell to RAF Valley.
I finished Swiss northern lakes bush-trip in WB-Sim C172 in real weather: LSZH
LSZR
This was short leg and 20kn tail wind made it even shorter. Both days I was lucky. There was busy traffic at Zurich airport and ATC was able to squeeze me in for arrival and departure.
Bodensee - the third largest lake in western and central Europe:
Hmm.. It looks like there were too many pilots flying by tower and asking ATC “Where am I?”, that tower decided to show pilots, where they are.
I flew the first leg of the 40th Anniversary – Frontier Airlines flight from KDEN Denver to KPUB Pueblo Meml in the DC-3 + Duckworks mod.
This is the culmination of numerous weeks of learning the DC-3 and Duckworks enhancements. It was not helped by the activity starting with the engines running but shortly dying. I thought this might be the Duckworks mod but it happens without the mod. It turns out the fuel taps have not been turned on. So not hard to sort.
Any way managed to park it up without flattening the nice person waving the batons:
Did a couple of flights today. Best one was to Madeira with 25kts gusting winds.
Love that 05 approach and landing
Although passengers had a weird falling apart pixels behind them in the jetways
