Chillin’ in the LS8-18 at my favorite gliding spot:

My highest in this flight was about 4050 meters above the runway, which makes it 3800 meters gained (about 12400 feets) considering the 250 meters where the whinch launch ended. Not my best, but not bad either

Landing got, as usual , rather bumpy. I was too high for a nice landing, but felt too low to do another orbit.

Full flight here, once the processing finishes:

Wow, the New Zealand hand crafted scenery is spectacular. I always wanted to start in the hangar. Sorry about the prop blast!

Fully modeled interior spaces for an official included airport? The animated goldfish was a nice touch too lol.

Finished up my cargo runs for the Norway company today. Started off early in the morning.

Did a couple revenue jobs starting in Reno (KRNO) and Northern Cali before the sunset. Ended up in Portland (KPDX).

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve last posted and I’ve continued to make progress on my around the world tour.

My most recent legs have taken me and my XBOX TBM from Kolkata and the Ganges River delta, through Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh, Chang Mai-Bangkok-Phuket, in Thailand, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, and across the equator to Jakarta and finally Bali.

Flying in the tropics has been smooth sailing in the flight levels - no head/tailwinds to speak of - though there has been the typical smog of the big cities and tropical rains.

Flying through the Lesser Sinda Islands has been very interesting, the numerous volcanoes creating their own weather!

Since the last FS2020 update, the TBM930 has all its indicator sounds back and the FMS hasn’t done any weird approach routing or dropped waypoints.

I’m well past the halfway point now and will continue southward towards Darwin and Adelaide, my most southern extent. After that it will be northward bound, heading towards home!

Here’s some pix

Took the Black Square Bonanza out for a spin, and spent so much time in there I ended up living in a plane down by the RIVER!! Seriously magical upgrade for an already awesome plane. Had fun flying all over Southern California, took out all the GPS-es and went for some nice VORs, then plopped in the GTN-750 and followed the pink line for a while. If anyone needs me, you know where to find me. DOWN BY THE RIVER in my Bonanza.

Exploring South Africa: FAPM :airplane: FAHR

It’s not easy to do go-around at 5500ft altitude. C172 does not climb as easy as at sea-level. It’s good I decided not to land with full flaps.
