What is going on with the sim all of the sudden?!

I have a lot of the same issues.

And since a few days the fans of my PC are going insane when I fire up the sim. Didn’t change anything.

well my fans are going full tilt as well. but MS cant do much about the Heat wave here in Michigan. its definitely making a difference. 91 ambiant temp doesnt help

Good luck with that. No heatwave here!

So this is new… Just trying to do the LV City Update, and it will not download. Just sitting at “Downloading” but zero progress…

Anyone else seeing this?

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I’ m having stutters for no reason, even during cruise at FL350. Deleted all my cache and nothing seems to improve. I swear this game is going to turn me crazy one day. Every week there’s a new problem

I was able to DL it and the WUII update with zero issue and extremely quickly, too.

im just going to leave it opne for the next hour or so and see what happens… The clear the cache, ensure my Nvidia settings haven’t changed, and confirm DLSS is still 3.7.1. Oh the little things…

UPDATE. CU finally downloaded. But now the sim has been sitting on the post-launch (pre-flight loading) screen for twenty minutes.

The hang loads and checking for updates is some game services bug. Go to the Xbox app, under your id hit support and run the repair tool before starting the sim. If the support tool is missing and only has the support hyperlink, then uninstall the Xbox app, Xbox game services and Xbox live and reinstall the Xbox app. You can still cue up add-ons in linker, just don’t launch from there, especially the quick start option. Something in game services is borked

There are some serious problems even with Windows Microsoft Store downloads. It takes forever for them to download or even start downloading. It took forever to download xbox app and gaming services too.

If this is true and the repair is necessary, why has the issue simply disappeared for me?

Everything has been operating normally for me since the Marketplace fix and all three issues in my OP have ceased on both of my PCs.

At least in my case, all of it seemed to be related and/or the issues were resolved by whatever server-side fix(es)/reboot they did that affected the regional servers I connect to.

Even the occasional Red offline, then moments later, Green online messages have ceased — something I neglected to include as an issue in my OP.

Man, I hope this doesn’t mean they’re going to mark this issue as closed, because nothing has changed for me. Still getting the “Green online messages” and connectivity loss messages with absolutely little or nothing downloading from the scenery server(s) wherever that may be.
Curious to know where you are physically located, NixonRedgrave.
I am near Washington D.C.

I’m on the central coast of California.

(Which, now that I think about it, is geographically incorrect. However it is what someone, from the past who seemed to think most of Northern California doesn’t exist, has labeled the coastal part of CA mid-way between San Francisco and Los Angeles.)

I haven’t been having the ‘Checking for Updates.’

I have, however, been having ‘Connection Lost’ and ‘Bandwidth Too Low - Switching to Offline’ problems.

Yesterday was by far the best it’s been in a week, but I still had a couple of those errors.

Every time the ‘Bandwidth’ error happens I have to go into General Options → Data and re-enable Bing Data.

Good catch! I noticed that my Bing Data option seemed to be randomly turning off, after periodically testing to see if “they” have fixed this connecivity issue, yet. I guess that’s what the message stating the sim has been switched to off-line mode is all about…
Man, this is so frustrating.
And the thing that really bothers me the most is that there seems to be very little if any acknowledgement by MS/Asobo that there even is a problem here.
Their usual thing is to post a little notice above all the forum threads stating that there is a problem of some kind which is being experienced and that they are investigating, and more to follow. But nothing so far…
at least not that I’ve noticed.

Having that too. (Netherlands, EU-server)

They had some patch come through the XB app yesterday, not sure if they are working on some of it. There was a poll about hanging loads/update screens a few days ago that popped up. I’d imagine Steam has some connectivity to whatever it is that syncs the game into the ‘MS sphere’. I’ll try launching from AL the next few times and see if it stopped. It just started out of nowhere about 2 1/2 weeks ago.

I had a few ‘bandwidth’ too low issues completely randomly recently but not in the past week. And on a quick check I’m 890down/920up direct wired. rarely pinging above 4.

today at start all settings were lost,it is a pain now :-1: :grimacing:
fix your servers, show us that you can do better, before i spend one cent in 2024…

Ugh I dread ever getting the settings lost but going around. I lost flight hours and most settings a couple times a while back, but some of it was me nuking the instal.

May want to try not messing with anything and close out via task manager, force stop any and everything ms game services related, log out of everything and hard reboot in case it’s some synching issue.

Is there some file to backup all controller profiles and/or aircraft view settings?

This last Sim update was the worst by far.

Ok. Now tell me why? Seriously. People say that, its unflyable. So whats so bad its unflyable?

Its like people saying ground handling is bad. Why? Is it turning? Braking? Exceleration? They never say whats bad.
