What would make MSFS "complete" for you?

Was a Beta tester but unfortunately had to return to my previous Sim due to the lack of Study level aircraft and as mentioned before. It is unfortunately a Sim breaker until they get it fixed.

Hi,
For me to be complete, MSFS would have to run each and every time without any glitch or hiccup.
That would mean that it has to be perfect. However “perfect “ does not exist.

Ok. How many new sims had “study-level” planes at the launch? Is there something wrong with Aerosoft’s CRJs?

Hello,

eeeehm, due all different HWs used we are all lost in this water already. Hard to say really what thing can make me feel satisfied with this SW. I think that reality is that with one user solved thing will bring bug to another user. No one will be satisfied with this SW completely, trust me…

I like MSFS but also I’m tired with what this SW bring to all flying Community…

That exactly the problem some want to play a game and some like realism in the sim so all good its everybody’s choice. Did Asobo not say as real as it gets at launch?

Far as I know nothing accept the ability to buy and download mods from PC place them on a USB and be able to play it on my Xbox instead of waiting months for Asobo besides that the sim is perfect besides maybe a few missing stars and things in the night sky and maybe higher detail of ground items but that’s it MSFS is one of my fav games wish Asobo talked to the community more than once a week

hmmmmmm,

this is simple, if I’m gamer and see that MSFS was released (as real as it gets), I don’t have many chance to play it like Manic Miner. Now it looks like I can. Looks like we started again post thoughts different as Topic owner want but good to see replys here what people want to be satisfied…

No. We all want realism. Some of us just don’t go around trashing the sim we use because the clouds don’t look like we think they should, but prefer a more constructive way to improve it. I used gaming in the sense that the “serious simmers” are the ones complaining exactly in the same way the “real gamers” on any given game forum. The false sense of entitlement is the common factor.

My answer might be a contradiction as MSFS is
amazing as it is, but will at the same time never be complete, as it’s a constant evolution!

With that I mean I’m loving in its current state, while it can always be even more improved and more content can be added!

Things I’m looking forward to:

  • More turboprops, such as the coming ATRs, would also love to see a Fokker 50 and a Saab 340.
  • Continued work on propeller behaviour, a lot has improved from the start and I know more is coming!
  • Real-world liveries and models on AI/static planes
  • More world updates, absolutely loving them!!
  • More third-party scenery, we got the best payware and freeware airport’s that a flight sim has ever seen, so looking forward to more of that!
  • Refined replay tool
  • Improved ATC

Really excited for what is to come!

Please add churches and mosques to the autogen scenery. OSM data are there why on earth is it so difficult to model a bunch of 3D objects?

If the frequent CTDs disappeared finally, I would consider the sim complete. Playable endlessly. Anything else would only be an improvement.

When I buy a TV, I dont expect it to work most of the time and every so often just not work and that goes for any other product I buy too. Things are not working in the sim and should be fixed. Suggesting that wanting things to work as advertised is seeking perfection is simply not true. We just want the sim to work as it should, a perfectly reasonable thing to expect from a product we paid for,

True.. but as I said, what people expect from how the sim work as it should varies from people to people.

While it is reasonable to want the sim to work as it should from a product you paid for. How much of that value that you actually get out of. I mean, we all paid roughly the same price, $100. I’ve logged over 1,200 hours in the sim flying the A320 and A330. when I pool that together, I’ve basically been paying for 8c per hour that I fly.

And out of all that 1,200 hours of flying. 95% of the time are flights where I have no issues at all. Or minor issue that I can easily mitigate. The 5% are flights with critical issues, like the Live Temp bug, CTDs, autopilot malfunctioning, nav not following, etc.

It’s too easy to think that “Oh yes, we have a live bug issue that’s gamebreaking”, sure. They need to fix it, of course. And you end up that issues like these take too much of our energy being upset with them. And we forgot that the 95% of the time are the ones where the sim just works and made us happy. You’re letting the issues that happen very rarely to overcome and ruin majority of the time that you’re happy with.

I expect ATC to just work with a voice, other people expect to have ATC voices with different national accents (English with French Accent, Italian Accent, Swahili accent). Then there’s another people who wants an even more detailed ATC accents like Texas, Californian, or Philadelphian accent). And yet we also forgot that there’s probably not much voice samples that the TTS technology can work on to deliver us those features.

Are we paying for a product with ATC that has regional accents?

The reason why I said expecting perfection is as it is. You pay $100 for a product and you expect everything in that $100 to work exactly as you expect it to be 100% of the time forever that never breaks, never have any issues, and completely bug-free. But this $100 product is also being sold to other people that have an entirely different expectation on what it should do. So the question here is, how can the same product fulfil the exact expectations of different people who expects different thing?

This isn’t just for MSFS, it’s about everything. Out of my 32 years of life experience, not once have I ever get exactly what I paid for. There’s always something that came short. And sometimes I actually paid less for something that I value more. And I have to be okay with it, otherwise, my head would explode having to deal with the constant disappointment when things don’t go the way I want it to. That’s life. Things don’t go your way sometimes. Sometimes you don’t get what you paid for. You just have to deal with it.

Have the ability to change the things you can control, but have the wisdom to accept the things you can’t control.

To be with less bugs as possible and not have hiccups in performance

I bought the game at launch and it has been broken ever since. You reporting my post or whatever won’t change that fact.

I have bought the same sim and have a different view. And I have never reported a single post here, so will not report yours either.

Ok. Not using multiplayer, so I cannot comment on that. But how is the mouse cursor broken? And performance is currently extremely good, better than it ever has been. SU5 brought a huge improvement to it, and the issues introduced with it have all been fixed since. I can run all ULTRA (2070s) smooth as silk when I lock my FPS to 30 in Nvidia control panel. If you have been here since launch I find such a claim very strange.

Are there long time issues? Yes, there are. One of my own pet peeves is the traffic around the airports. But since the team is very well aware of this and it will get fixed next year, I have no reason to jump in every thread to complain how the traffic is not working and claiming the game is broken. Oh, and I remember one of the issues (besides the abysmal performance) at launch were the shadows under the bridges. I still remember thinking how immersion breaking those black boxes below bridges were. Have they since been fixed? Not to my knowledge.

For me, a better integral map. I know that there are good third-party maps but you can’t access these on Xbox which I use as well as PC.

Set new rules for marketplace aircraft to care about better quality so they don’t have any more bad aircraft on the marketplace so we get more high quality aircraft I would actually buy because I would get the captain sim 777 if it weren’t a remake of the default 747 if there were new rules to ensure high quality aircraft

The full PMDG and Captain Sim Boeing list. Of course including the fantastic 757/767 freighter and my beloved and dearly missed Boeing 737.
And offline OrbX terrain graphics quality because I will never ever have the internet connection for this streaming stuff.
