What would make MSFS "complete" for you?

But isn’t it relative though, that what considers a quality varies from people to people? At least for me, sometimes a bad “something” is still better than “nothing”.

Besides, there’s a lot of reviews online on CaptainSim and Bredok3D addons out there. You can still wait for those reviews and decide for yourself whether those quality is worth your money or not.

Also, Isn’t everyone prefer an unregulated free market? That everyone have the freedom to sell and it’s also our responsibility to know about the product before we buy it?

I know lucky we have PMDG working on a 777 so I know that would be really good

The PMDG 737 is coming as well.. So it should be great news for Boeing fans..

The sim needs working helicopters with sling loads, land-able rooftops, helicopter support equipment and ground environments like helipads,etc..
Also moving carriers and taskforces to go with the Navair components.
Missions for unarmed Asobo military jets should include air to air refueling and carrier qualifications

Overall I’m very happy with the sim and I honestly don’t understand the high level of angst I see from folks about it. Having said that, there are some quirks that annoy me;

  1. ATC directing me to ridiculous flight levels then repeatedly directing me to expedite my climb when we all know a Cessna 172 will never achieve FL270.

  2. Outdated/quirky airports for example, my local airport is missing a major taxiway which requires me to taxi on, not cross, an active runway. The same airport has a tower located in the center of one of the taxiways.

  3. Incorrect water levels.

  4. There must be some strange allocation issue going on that causes my flight stick to go dead whenever either ATC communicates or I use my mouse. The immediate fix is to waggle my mouse so the stick comes alive again but it sure is annoying to have to constantly waggle the mouse.

  5. Would love more in depth tutorials.

check your key bindings (if you modified them) because this is similar to my experience early on with MSFS. I wanted to open ATC with the same key as FSX (‘TAB’ ) but didn’t know that it was the default key for ‘activate drone controls’ or some such. The key would generally work only as the ATC window but occasionally it would also activate the drone camera controls - which halts control inputs.
it drove me nuts until I went through all the keyboard commands and deleted any duplicates

Horizon to horizon complete overcast sky.
The default setting is ok. But I am hoping the day we get complete blotting out of sunlight.
Real cirrus clouds. Cirrus overcast would be nice.
Other cloud types as well.

Something very wrong with that statement.

I don’t agree that perfection can never be achieved as you said yourself in a lot of cases it’s a measure of an individuals expectation against their perceived outcome. When perfection is rarely achieved is when trying to please so many. But products should at least be as advertised. I guess that’s another debate entirely on MSFS.

I happen to think it’s reasonable value for money but it could be so much better and passion runs high when people care about it becoming better. If no one cared there would be no discussion.

Getting rid of these crazy little Pushback vehicles. They never worked as intended and it looks they never will work, driving right through the Aircraft. Just ‘shift + P’ is sufficient for me. The aimlessly walking about People are not needed either. Give them an Airport Security Uniform, or something, so they have a purpose for being there.
Have been an Aircraft Mechanic and Pilot; know one does not use the Tarmac as an exercise or picnic venue.

I would love to see MSFS come out of the stage of a game. They have to listen to all those companies which gave us so glorious aircraft like PMDG, FSLabs, A2A and so on. Give them all the tools they need and listen to their feedback.
We are in a year now so time will tell but that’s my wish to make it really a Sim

This is a pilot’s map to navigate all over the world on your PC. It is very good, It is Tramp (Little Navmap 2.6.6) I think it is 2.6.11 now. “It is free” and a standalone. I have downloaded. it and installed it. There was a program Commander that was the same, but it was discontinued. You can see it on YouTube. and instructions on how to get it and install. But I think it will not work on Windows 10. It is a lot better than the map in MFS2020, you can see your flight plan on it. Have a look at it you will be impressed.

see you soon. Dave

Dave (NEWBE) my first go at a forum, I have been a simmer since about 2004
I was looking for the place to put in a new topic. I live in New Zealand

MSFS is finished when we have spring colors like this :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Resorte Del Desierto De Anza Borrego Desert State Park, California

For me it would be better mesh, especially in mountainous, coast or just general bush-flying regions. Obviously there are limits to data that can be sourced, but if like we’ve already seen there are payware addons simply bringing in either freely available or goverment data, then microsoft/Asobo should just as easily be able to source that data too - especially considering they have bing maps, accurate mapping shouldn’t be an unrealistic expectation .

Second to that would be accented or regionalised voices for the atc’s, including non english as this is a simulator after all (yes, well aware its the icao and what you’ll find at internationals before you hammer away at your keyboard - but once you are far away from international airports on a domestic flight in a non-english country, you’ll certainly find its not always the case that english is used, and this is a simulator :stuck_out_tongue: ). I’d also like ATC to just be better overall so you can voice to it and it responds, if this was just Asobo i’d say this was unrealistic expectation, but given all the tech microsoft has, we really should be getting something like this rather than interacting like its a text-based rpg.

Thirdly for me is full seasons, so everything can better reflect the weather and time of year you are flying.

That is just not true. In fact its a bit like saying a cake that is half as big has been made twice as healthy, at best its a distorted view and at worst a blatant falsehood.

We still have broken AI that SU5 introduced and as for the performance “improvements” you mention, many including me actually saw a noticeable reduction in quality that was then labelled “performance improvement” but was really just a smaller cake.

An in Sim proper Aviator Tablet. The present VR Map is… yea…it is…

This Sim is so broken now…I want my money back…important stuff that worked no longer does…they don’t fix stuff after they break it with an update…so disapointed !!
back to X Plane for me..

What would make it compete for me is if everyone installed the public beta and got back to enjoying flying.

An ingame career economy system cloned from ATS/ETS.
