Is anyone else having problems with the WW MCDU? Mine is not displaying the screen but the rest of it is working fine. This is happening on both the IniBuilds A320 v2 and the FBW A32NX.
Why not contact the WinWing support? They are pretty good and probably will have the answer.
First, if I remember correctly, the Winwing MCDU doesn’t yet work with Ini aircraft.
Second, if you want it to work with the FBW, you need to have SimBridge installed (select it during the FBW installation) and make sure it’s running during the flight.
Moved to User Support Hub > Hardware & Peripherals as OP is requesting community assistance.
Thank you so much! After reinstalling a fresh SU3 Beta (as recommended) I had indeed forgotten to install the SimBridge app. I have an early start for work tomorrow so will not have time to test tonight. I will update tomorrow
Thanks for the update. I’m looking forward to hearing your results tomorrow.
I also noticed that in MSFS 2024 SU3 Beta with the FBW dev version, SimBridge doesn’t start automatically. I had to manually run fbw-simbridge.exe located in Community\flybywire-externaltools-simbridge. This issue doesn’t occur in MSFS 2020 - in 2020 it launches automatically.
BTW, regarding the iniBuilds Airbuses - they already have Winwing MCDU in their hands, so I’m hoping it will soon work with their aircraft as well.
Well, it sort of worked but there is a minor (?) issue. The SimBridge launches automatically for me so no issue there. The screen now shows up and the first Menu screen shows with no issues. However, any other screen becomes “jumbled”. I have put some photos and screen captures on my OneDrive that you can view if you wish (Public) . I will e-mail their support tonight but would appreciate any ideas you may have as well.
Have you shared your issue & screen shots with WinWing yet? At least two issues I have had were resolved promptly when I opened a ticket on their website using the Need Help chat. While I didn’t try emailing WinWing, I got near immediate responses back on my Need Help ticket.
First - please upload those photos/screenshots directly in this thread so others can see them without having to follow links.
Second - you forgot to mention which version of MSFS you tested on and which version of the FBW A32NX you are using. These are key details to be able to help.
Yes, I am waiting to hear back from them
If you are on the Experimental version, please uninstall it completely and remove any leftover files from Community and
AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2020
Then download and install the latest Development (DEV) version instead and test if the issue persists.
If the problem still persists after switching to the DEV version, please take photos showing how the MCDU looks directly in the aircraft and how it displays on your MCDU device, so we can compare both views.
Sorry all, I’ve been away with work the past couple days so was unable to test anything. Anyway, I found the problem. I also use Spad.Next and what I have found is that I need to Disconnect the MCDU within Spad.Next. If you use Spad.Next simply Deactivating the Device in the Profile is not enough, you must Disconnect. Then launch SimAppPro and check the Device. After that I launch MSFS2024 and (so far) it all works as it should.
Thanks for your guys patience and assistance.
PS It works with both the Stable and Dev versions of the FBW A32NX
You’re doing it wrong! If you have SPAD, don’t use SimAppPro at the same time, because SPAD controls it. You only need SPAD and a profile for the MCDU and FBW. Right now, I’m on my laptop drinking coffee and listening to Tears for Fears (the neighbors are listening too, haha) - I’ll turn on my PC in a moment and send you a link to a working FBW profile.
EDIT
@hazbenz
Select “Complete Device” and search 13173 - it works 100%.
Thanks for the heads up! I am away from my PC but will this profile also show the display? As all the profiles I’ve tried don’t display the screen!
Yes mate ![]()
Just imported this profile and its is working without issues! Thanks very much for the heads up!!
You’re very welcome.
Fly safe.
MCDU arrived yesterday, excellent attention to detail. I checked all lights, buttons and LCD in the SimAppPro Test section.
Have stable FBW v0.13.0 and latest SimAppPro Version:V1.16.71_Beta. SimBridge is running.
The MCDU buttons feed into the plane correctly, but the MCDU display is blank.
There maybe a bug/config issue in SimAppPro as it thinks 3rd party planes are in \Community which has a folder winwing-wwtwasm dated 24/9/25
However FBW installs into \Community2024 As you may know Asobo recently added Community2024 to avoid clashes with FS20
May I suggest opening a ticket on the WinWing site? I have done so many times and they have solved my every issue quickly or within a week or so, if SimAppPro needed a fix. Top notch service.
