CTDs on Series X specifically have become a major problem on long haul flights >8 hours, but sometimes less too, since SU5.
LFBD to KSEA is basically impossible without sim speed at 32x.
My primary ask is that these CTDs and memory leak issues, along with frame loss (not exclusive to 120hz), be addressed. Both rarely occur if ever on Series S, but are rampant on Series X right now.
Series S is outperforming X in the sim which is wild.
When will they release more aircraft (737-800 surely???)
Same with liveries. When can I fly around as easy jet for example ??
Also, is there an option to put a safety video on in the background, or any other audio in the background that the pilots say ( prepare for takeoff) this would make it very realistic.
Overall, Iâm impressed with the graphics, but hopefully we see these features possibly soon ??
Every Thursday is the update to the internal Marketplace - Companies like Just Flight has delivered their Planes to Microsoft / Asobo for approval - so we can only wait. liveries might be a license/copyright thingâŠ
Real-world liveries are coming, but the latest word is that MS and airlines are at a licensing snag at the moment specific to Xbox. Theyâll come eventually once that is worked out. They canât just put them in the sim without airline licensing agreements in place unfortunately. The images are not property of MS.
Series S has virtually no ctd or frame drop issues. Series X it is all but guaranteed on long hauls over 8h flight time to ctd. Shorter flights generally have no issues though so Iâm mainly doing them for the time being.
The ctds rampantly increased after SU5 on Friday as well.
On Series X - but to be honest - i am have an insider build from the OS. I also dont have any issues in the past with Quick Resume. So i was able to have an break about 2h in my flight and did it finished later the day.
And i am using Dolby Vision - looks also a lil bit better then HDR. But in general HDR is also broken.
Liveries are coming, perhaps not custom community made ones but officially licensed real-world airline liveries are. MS has been in talks with airlines for ages on this to try and reach an agreement on licensing.
As for mods in general I think the market will be there at some point so mod devs may start submitting content for approval in the sim store. Some have already said that if the interest is there they will do it. More cumbersome on the dev side but the sim marketplace will be the only way for Xbox to get mods.
I asked on FlyByWireâs Discord they have no plans in the near future to release the A32NX on XBOX. The A320 from FĂȘnix Simulations will also not be released on XBOX. Really disappointing.
Just tried loading game up,constantly sat there on checking for updates. When it did eventually get past that it loaded theblue bar to the end then froze.
I agree, it is a fantastic technical achievement. All Iâm doing is helping the Xbox version be the best it can be. The topic doesnât need to prove anything to you, it is a source for those that need to know to deal with core issues. Hopefully you can help us along that journey. Thanks.
