Jorg Nuemann just announced that AAU4 - Avionics and Aircraft Update 4 - will be released along side Sim Update 5 “in a few weeks”. Interestingly, he said it was available to try in the booth at FSWeekend, even though it’s not part of the SU5 beta testing.
“You should think of this as our plan - our plan is to upgrade all of our 2020 Payware planes to the 2024 standard, which can mean new artwork, better audio, new systems, career integration, new liveries, whatever makes sense per plane. We did make over 30 Payware planes, so it’s going to take us a while. We will roll these out as part of AAUs - so there will be AAU5, AAU6, and it will take us some time but they will all be coming. And what’s also great is that these upgrades are free - for those of you who already own these planes, it’s going to be free.” – Jorg Neumann
The details for AAU 4 are: 5 updated aircraft, plus Avidyne IFD 540 & IFD 550 avionics as sim attachments (drop in) for developers.
