ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
G1000 crashes/reboots regularly (every 30-60min). Most of the time it’s the PFD which reboots sometimes MFD.
Issue occurs during all phases of flight (including taxi).
IFR Flight Plan loaded in G1000. manually programmed directly with G1000 or loaded with EFB.
Flying in middle of Europe mostly Germany/Austria
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Every 30 to 60 minutes
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Fly in middle of Europe.
YOUR SETTINGS
Mostly standard on PS5 Pro.
Realistic and a few guides turned off.
MEDIA
Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.
Issue occurs in different aircraft as well:
Cessna 400, flying around LOWK, during night, low altitude (around 3000ft), high speed (160-180), no flight plan, manual flight (no AP). Reboots around every 2 min, G1000 PFD reboots during all phases of flight.
Issue should be easy to reproduce.

Would you happen to have a video of this occuring to share with our test team?

Issue also occurs in the standard C172 (GNS 530/430)
And in the CubCrafters NXCub (G3X)
Exactly what’s been happening to me. I’ve noticed it in the G1000 G3000 the PC12 navigation pretty much 80% of the aircraft’s I’ve flown. Its been happening since they dropped the hotfix, before on early access it was perfectly fine.

I’m experiencing exactly the same problem, and it seems to be getting worse.
I’ve also cleared the PS5 cache and rebuilt the database.
I’ve been playing since December 4 and can’t remember this problem occurring before December 8 (release date for the standard version). Could it be a server issue?

The system was working flawlessly prior to the recent update (which I believe was the first one released). Since installing that update, I have experienced constant and significant problems. These issues include screen crashes, screens intermittently going black, and auto-throttle disconnect failures. When the screens glitch you will find using approach mode is also hit and miss.
I’m having this extract issue with almost all Garmin 1000 airplanes i have tested, also after encountering this blackout mid flight the approach mode breaks and i have to switch to vfr since it will not decent or can’t catch the glidescope anymore after the glitch. Whenever i don’t encounter the glitch the approach mode works flawless, so i think it’s all related.

I’ve been testing a lot of planes and the G1000, G3000, and G5000, PC24 avionics keeps glitching. Luckily, this never happens in airliners like the A320neo or 737. You’re right though—when those screens fail, any programmed approach is completely messed up. I’m trying to work up to flying airliners in career mode because they’re stable. I doubt this post is getting enough attention, so I don’t think this issue will be investigated or fixed anytime soon.
I think there’s some general problem with PFDs and MFDs regardless of which avionics system is being used. When these glitches happen for me, they usually last less than 20 seconds, and then things seem to return to normal.
In the Citation Longitude, which has G5000, I often either see the MFD glitch out, lose heading reference, or go into AHRS align, or sometimes even reboot to the Garmin splash screen. It’s much more frequent when running with a faster sim rate, but I think I notice it more often when turning or encountering turbulence than in smooth, level flight. The autopilot does continue to follow the right course or heading as fas as I can tell.
I’m having similar glitches with the PC-12 NGX’s Honeywell Primus avionics. Often a PFD or MFD will go black, sometimes displaying a big red X and sometimes not. Sometimes the PFD stays on but with attitude failure warnings.
I also tried the Citation CJ4, which I think has Rockwell Collins Pro Line avionics. In that, sometimes the pilot’s PFD starts having an AHRS failure and the HSI display spins. It happens more frequently with the copilot’s PFD.
I think I saw this in the default 737 MAX during a flight, and I think I even saw it while doing a cold start then taxiing in the default 787, but I wasn’t really looking for this issue when I tested those, and they both seemed more stable than the others.
I never saw these issues with the standby instruments on any of these aircraft. I also didn’t see it when flying without a flight plan over Bermuda in an SR22T (G3000?), but that was the only time I tried that plane.
I’m on PC using an Xbox controller and keyboard/mouse.

Hi Jayne, This is happening in the PC-24, Bonanza g36, C172, Vision Jet in PS5 with the Hotas 4 and controller/keyboard.
Every single flight, the PFD, MFD and Xponder (I’ve been flying the PC24 in Career on PS5 but the others prior to this) randomly switch off and then on again, sometimes as quickly as 5 s and others 30 sec’s.
It is the garmins too.
Same happening to me on every flight in the Cessna 172 Skyhawk in career mode and free flight on the PS5 slim.
Jup. Voted this one. Experienced it in every aircraft with the G1000.

These glascockpit crashes happen for me on ps5 (basic version, not pro) with all (!) glascockpits. G1000, G3000, Honeywell, etc. I had even the mini digital artificial horizon in the Saab crashing…
This such an annoying bug, as it happens also in the most critical flight phases like final approach. It happens completely random and so, so, so often during even only one flight. Sometimes even at mission start while taxing to the runway. I have it sooooo often. Please give this a hotfix. Please do not wait until SU5. Please please !!!
I have no flight without those crashes. In most flights it crashes 5 times and much more often.

Today I bought the vision jet myself. I noticed, that the autothrottle of this plane on PS5 is randomly is deactivated, even a smooth ascend. I am not sure, if it is tied to the glascockpits and their subsystems going through resets or if this is an issue on its own on PS5. I noticed the same on the pc 12 ngx. Maybe it is a symptom of the glasscockpits crash regularly. I suspect these strange behaviors to being tied to (partial) avionics crashes in the background.
I cant emphasize enough how soon we need a fix for these avionics resets!

All of the glasscockpits crash constantly…. All of them…
Tried today a Cessna Longitude. I didn’t even start to taxing. I just sat at the parking and tried to get to know the Avionics. They even crashed while the plane was not moving at all. This is so crazy. How could this slip through the Quality Assurance? I just tried to learning how to operate the plane while being parked
