Initial Release: Grumman Goose G21A Redux II

More or less, check the navlog to see the landing zone. The “runway” does have exactly that dimensions.

You MUST touchdown in that zone or it wont recognize it as leg completion.

OK, I just re-flew that leg and it was a success! thank you! I didn’t know that it was important that you touch down in a specific area, just thought it’s enough to make your way there. So this worked lovely. By the way, this thing doesn’t have a water rudder, does it?

uggh yes I relented to a stupid invisible water rudder as a concession to the poor differential thrust currently in MSFS

Is this currently included in the current version?

Use this hack.

Pretty sure the water rudder was temporarily added to the current release already.

Until we get asymmetric thrust in game, the aircraft is nearly impossible to turn on the water with just the tail rudder, hence the need for the temporary water rudder.

Just completed the Bush Trip. That was AWESOME. What a great companion piece for this awesome bird! I highly recommend anyone that likes the Goose to fly it.

OK Quick friday update:
Did a little work on the Goose, but have been doing a LOT of work on internal infrastructure for Big Radials setting up email, custom trello clone, our own git server and helpdesk software. Now that that is complete we have more Goose time (YAY).

I’ll take a leaf from @DEAN01973 from DC Designs and will do little Friday updates now I can get some time on the Goose.

Have a great weekend folks!

I don’t see any mention of T-Shirts???

(I hope you can hear my Muttley laugh in the background…
But, seriously  )

Thanks for reminding me @FlyingsCool5650 it’s been a while.

So, I tried to log into our merch store (separate from our other store) and they’re having login issues to no launch this week! :frowning:

PS <3 Mutley.

Thanks: your mod works on water, but steering on the ground becomes quite hard…
I have to check my .cfg file editing, perhaps I made an error

Please describe, what you mean by hard. Usually the Goose is very agile on land due to the high CG.

As with every taildragger right now check your CG before every flight. There is a bug in Asobos CG calculation.

In addition you can lock/unlock the tail wheel. And on a tight turn you can completely block it, which makes it hard to get rolling again.

You’re right, and I apologize… inadvertently I should have hit the “T” key, which time ago I had assigned to “Tail Wheel Lock”
Another flight tonight, and everything is ok with your mod: the beautiful Goose turns on the water and on the ground  Thanks!

Fri-YAY Update!
Whilst no work was done on the Goose unfortunately I did take some time to rest and recharge the batteries as well as to finish some behind the scenes infrastructure for Big Radials. We now have our own content management system and issue tracker (private local hosted git repo gitea), mail server (mailcow), trello clone (wekan) and Helpdesk (freescout), local and cloud backups of the lot (borg backup). phew!

That does leave me free this weekend and the weather is pretty rained out so some good time for getting back to 3D instruments in the Goose.

Wanted to give a HUGE shoutout to @Pontiac513713 who has made the little bushtrip for our Goose. He also made a really long bushtrip for our Tomahawk and we hope to release that to you all soon as Asobo fixes the CG bugs.

3D art work has started on our next project already and @LeprechaunLive tells me that he’s going nuts on this one, bringing everything we learned from the Tomahawk to bear. My work on this project wont start for a while so plenty of time to get the Goose COOKED!

Awesome! Like seeing this kind of enthusiasm!!!

the link just downloads the last update not the new one

That would be because there has been no official updates yet. Any new so called “updates” are not from me and I will not support them.

I will post here and update the OP with the new link AND I am now posting updates on our progress weekly on Fridays.

i downloaded the link on this post and the cockpit wasn’t finished and no plane sound

i downloaded this one after and it worked ozx-aircraft-goose-hd.7z - Google Drive
