The error value is listed in the Additional Data section.
User Action

  1. Open the file again. This situation might be a temporary problem that corrects itself when the program runs again.

    • It is on the network, your network administrator should verify that there is not a problem with the network and that the server can be contacted.
    • It is on a removable disk, for example, a floppy disk or CD-ROM, verify that the disk is fully inserted into the computer.
  3. Check and repair the file system by running CHKDSK. To run CHKDSK, click Start, click Run, type CMD, and then click OK. At the command prompt, type CHKDSK /F, and then press ENTER.

Some people said that some liveries after last update could cause this kind of issues. If you have any mods on community folder, remove them and then try the Sim and see if it crashes or not.

Yes, I’ve tried several suggestions, but with no luck. Just the suggestion of taking out liveries in the community section may be the problem, to me is very frustrating, because the only add-ons I put in the game are the ones from the market place store in the simulator itself. If these are the cause of the problems then why is Microsoft selling them on their site. And to answer that question, I’ve tried taking out all add-ons, I’ve even tried uninstalling and re-installing the simulator, yet get the same results. My other problem is that there are hundreds of different opinions and suggestions here on what I should do or not do. But unlike you or a lot of these people, I am not a computer expert, I don’t know what should or should not work and it just seems that I think I get one problem solved, something else pops up like stuttering.

I do understand your point and I appreciate the fact that you are trying to help all of us who are having issues, but I paid a lot of money purchasing a new computer so I could run this simulator or what I thought would be able to run this simulator without these types of issues, or without the headaches of trying to reconfigure my computer to run this simulator.

To say I am a loyal fan of this simulator would be an understatement as I’ve been flying Flight simulator since it first appeared in 1982. That being said, my patience is starting run very thin only because I have to make all these changes to my computer in order for this thing to work, but then next week, I could get the problem resolved and then something else is going to make it crash.

The more topics there are on CTDs, the less likely we will be to see them one day be resolved.

One of the oldest with 904 votes is the topic Crash to desktop without error message

Knowing that the title is wrong, because there is still an error in Windows Event Viewer

Either you understand that we all have to be on one and the same subject, or you are dividing our chances of being heard one day. (And they are already not very big …)

I think the more people complain about this issue the more likely MS will pull their finger out and actually fix this.

I know how to get the information, but have no clue as to what it means.

Here is the concept and vision of Asobo… We build a fantastic looking game that is based on third party input which is obviously not monitored (as Microsoft use to be) to rigid software specifications to insure compatibility. Every time we fix something we break something (job security). Quality Control is something we do with our clients (cheaper) not for our clients! They built a scapegoat called “community folder” which (if all things don’t go well) they can point at while instructing you to “clear out you community folder”, “reinstall your MSFS2020”, “reinstall each community package one by one until you may find the problem”, and many more other suggested things to work out your frustration and if you find something please let them know !!! None of which these things will normally help resolved the problem. My suggestion would be (and I am doing this now) stop buying from the market place, get rid of all community folder items permanently and point your finger at them (Asobo or Microsoft). Build a game that depends on third party software; then slight those companies and blame them for your concept !!! What a concept !!! But I still like MSFS2020 and will probably continue hoping they eventually come up with a fix !!!
