I bought the Upgrade on the Market Place almost a year or so ago and when I had to re-load FS2020 I couldnāt find it in the Market Place, only the first version I bought. Was that a major glitch or what???
I have a hard time to understand. The upgrade to Orbx EGLC v2 canāt be bought on Marketplace and one year ago you could buy v1 on Marketplace because v2 was released in May this year.
Yes thatās right, I bought the first version, then when version 2 was released I bought that one on the Market Place also. When I had to reload FS2020 I tried to also reload version 2 but could not find it. I got in touch with tech support for the Market Place and they told me that there was a problem with the upgrade on the Market Place and that they were still working on it to find out what the problem was. Never heard from them againā¦and yes, I did buy it on the Market Place and thatās why Iām so upset because I canāt get what I paid for.
Version 2 has never been sold on the marketplace. Everyone is still waiting for it.
Maybe you bought two different renditions of EGLC? Both Orbx and UK2000 have EGLC on marketplace.
A note for PC users, I was able to transfer my marketplace V1 purchase onto the Orbx store by contacting Orbx directly, then I paid for the upgrade on the Orbx store.

Thatās good to know. I will do the same. Did you just email them and ask or is there a procedure in place?
I used discord but Iām sure email will work the same. I just had to provide suitable proof I owned it, a marketplace screenshot showing my account name and product owned did the job.

No, Iāve looked on ALL sources that Iāve downloaded from and none of them have I ever signed into or have been in. Didnāt you read my last submission. In fact, in my content manager it shows my first version under EGLC London City Airport Upgrade and thatās how itās being sold as Version 2. So, unless I was one of the very first ones to buy it when it first showed up and then taken off again, trust me Iām not senile. I know where I bought it from, and I have the reciept to prove it.
You have a receipt with the name and version of the product on it?
My content manager shows EGLC London City Upgrade but I never bought it on marketplace. I only bought V1. Thatās the big bug, it shows for everyone even though itās never been for sale and none of us have bought it. You canāt install it and nor can we, because itās never been for sale. I know this because I was watching the marketplace release announcements and the marketplace itself every week, and the Orbx discord as well, because I was really keen to buy this.
See this thread for the workaround to reinstall V1 through marketplace.
You know, I might be getting senile, Iāll have to check over my old receipts that I keep in a PDF and see exactly what I bought on the Market Place. I too have gotten that āPackage Failedā error. What I did is go to the far right where you can click and it takes you to the version 1 install and thatās where you can install it without getting that particular errorā¦

I only bought Version 1, but in Content Manager it says āEGLC London City Airport Upgradeā. But itās never been available or released on the Marketplace. Itās just very confusing when you look at it in content center.
Only way to be sure what your bought is to check the previous orders.
Today the EGLC V2 Orbx upgrade is finally on marketplace, and there is a bundle discount if you have the original. I see it on PC but I expect it will be there for xbox (if not immediately, then soon).

Nice. I bought the V1 ages ago, and while waiting for this I got the UK2000(?) version, which is very nice. Iāll take a look at this later tonight. Thanks for the heads up!

Hopefully xbox will not be far behind. V1 was an absolute disaster on xbox, CTD more often than not. They claim V2 is more optimised so hopefully it solves the problems.

Thereās a bundle discount if you own the original, yep. But it works out to the same price as just buying V2 outright in the OrbX sale. So a pox on those of us who bought V1 from the Marketplace, I guess. Sigh.
If I did decide to buy it, Iād just get it direct from OrbX during the sale since the price is the same as the āupgrade discount.ā That way I donāt have to do the eternal Marketplace wait for any patches/updates.
But Iām pretty annoyed by the upgrade cost and may just make do with V1.

Same here, bought version 1 back in the days and saw yesterday the upgrade version comming by at the marketplace with an āamazing discount priceā, thatā¦ coincidently is the same price as the initial full version 1 with the discount.
I was eager to buy the upgrade, but not at the full price and thus buying the same airport twice (or actually 2,5 if you take the "discounts in account).
So ORBX if you read this, i guess you made a small pricing error and I hope you will correct it on short notice so we can all enjoy your version 2 without any harsh feelings of being screwed.

Wait and see if the marketplace bundle is discounted in the upcoming sale.
For sure on their own website they have discounted the full V2 purchase and not the upgrade, which is wrong IMO and a great way to alienate long term customers. Hopefully for you guys it behaves differently on marketplace.
I already paid for the upgrade on their own store some months back, and Iāve had use of it since so I donāt begrudge the discount now. However IMO it was still wrong to bring the product to market with the old layout when the new upgrades were already present IRL, and then charge customers to fix it when it was effectively already wrong from launch. Iām going to be much more wary of Orbx in the future thanks to this.
