Tobii Not Working At All in MFS 2024

Tobii head and eye tracking doesn’t work at all. I’ve rebound the ALT+7 and +8 keybinds to other keys and it still will not enable. When looking at the Tobii profile, the Axis are not setup to any of the 6 Tobii input axis.

Hi

I know about OpenTrack - thank you.
I use it.
I think my point is thay MSFS is not working with Tobii .

I look forward to a in built resolution to the issue

Same problem.
-The fix just fixt one specific user action (clicking onto the axis settings) which lead to a CTD.
-The Axis settings are still not working.
-When choosing a customized profile and want to set this as default: CTD

Info for Dev’s:
The Tobii Axis Settings: The Values differ from MSFS 2020 to MSFS2024 … while in MSFS Axis Values were of type “float” they are now “integers” , e.g. 0,29 in MSFS2020 is now 29 in MSFS2024

Example (MSFS 2020)

Moved to User Support Hub since a solution has been marked.

Who marked this as a solution? It’s not.

Also, do you READ these posts before you move them? There’s a lot of workarounds for bugs being marked as solved when a convoluted user-supplied kludge is not actually a resolved bug.

Yup. It`s not resolved. Tobii in FS 2024 SHOULD work without opentrack, trackIR or so…Like in dozen other simulations/games. So devs should incorporate or repair their settings and files inside FS

No valid solution was presented. I have this same issue with Tobii not working at all with MSFS2024. Get it fixed.

Moved back to Bug Reporting Hub since users reported still experiencing the issue.

@DementedCorn327 The problem reported in this topic was never solved by MS/Asobo. The issue recently solved by MS/Asobo was a CTD related to Tobii, but totally unrelated to the problem in this topic. Thank you for moving this topic back to open bug reports.

The post in this topic marked as solution is not a solution, but a (hacky) workaround for people comfortable changing XML files in their file system. This problem can only be solved by MS/Asobo to make it work as intended and advertised.

Btw: The problem reported in this topic is the same as in this topic.

Whilst a solution to my immediate issue has been found and I am now able to use the hardware (to some degree), the fact that a workaround is required is NOT a fixed bug. A workaround should never be considered a fix. Thank you for moving back.

My post wasnt meant to be a solution (who marked it as solution?)… it was meant to assist in getting the bug solved by Asobo as i have the feeling they even dont know whats going on with Tobiii as they tagged the issue as “bug fixed” but there is nothing fixed… god preserve us if all bug getting done like this one: Doing something without checking the complete functionallity of all related stuff… imagine a chandelier with 4 of 5 broken bulbs and you just change only one and dont care for the lamp as a unit and ignore the 3 other broken bulbs as you were told “there is a bulb broken”

Still not working after recent update. Nothing has changed.

The patch just solved the CTD.
I still cannot recenter and stop the head tracking in the sim : ALT+7 = turn head tracking on and off and ALT+8 = reset head tracking position don’t work at all.

This works fine… i have re-bind enable/disable to TAB, and reset position F12… so this works, and with messing around the control xml it works… but, apply my working preset “to all aircraft” results still in the CTD (and the values on the axis settings are far away from being correct) … i think no one at Asobo ever tried it out, or even know what to do … cant belive it… .claiming 2 times: Bug fixed but both times Nothing has changed.

re-binding did not work.

Will go back to Opentrack sadly

Tobii is totally unusable in 2024. It barely moves and there is no way to adjust settings.

The workaround worked for me…for while. Unfortunately, after Patch 3, my Tobii is completely broken within 2024 and doesn’t work at all.

For me the tobii works with the xml workaround without problems. Also it would be nice to be able to change settings on the fly. I also tried opentrack, but the native implementation works better vor me.
