Cannot update thanks to CTD at start

I updated my sim through the windows store and now i cannot reach the update screen in MSFS as the sim crashes 2-3 seconds after opening it with no error message.

I have reset and reinstalled the simulator but still continue’s to crash.

Edit: WwiseLibPCx64P.dll is the faulty module

I have the exact same. I open, get a message that there is no internet, when i do and then crashes to desktop. Infuriating.

It was working completley fine this morning

I am having the same problem with the Steam version. After launching, screen goes fullscreen black but then immediately back to desktop.

The offset differs but the dll remains the same.

I have removed all content from the community folder (and even tried from the official folder), have unplugged peripherals, etc.

Yes, everything was working fine last night.

Is your Community folder empty? There are some posts & polls up here today that are putting emphasis on that.

same issue here, was working fine before the update from ms store.

Same issue with steam version: I see the new splash screen with a Cub and Rhinos! But get the error “Can’t connect” it asks for the install directory, click install and game crashes.

I’m assuming the servers are getting overloaded with this release because of xbox users.

UPDATE: Had to sign-in with my Microsoft Account (first time ever) and its now updating 40gb.

My hardware is 11900k, evga ftw hybrid 3090, 64gb ram, disconnected extraneous peripherals.

All updates & drivers up to date as far as mb and windows are concerned.

Community folder empty - although I’m pretty sure it’s dying well before it’s trying to analyze the community folder.

honestly wouldn’t be surprised

Much the same -

Same here!!!

Same issue!

Hi there, out of my 1000’s of games on Steam this one forces me to go into a game rev up my GPU and sit there in a update screen that is not even showing then crashes when loads. What is wrong with steam doing this work?

I too had the red internet warning and followed by CTD. This happened 3 times but it worked on my 4th try. Update is installing now and it looks like I’m good to go. I guess, just keep trying. Also, I launched the game from the Xbox console companion app on my 4th try, so try that as well. Good luck!

Launcher froze halfway through the update, can’t log in now due to the demand on Maris Piper-powered servers Asobo use.

Yes I’m having the same issue. Windows Store updated, and then constant CTD with no errors.
