Hello everyone, FS2020/24 simmers, modelers, FS2024 pilots (in real life or otherwise), aircraft designers (in sim or real life), the entire team that manages this forum, etc., etc., etc.
I’ve known FS since its early days, back when Windows didn’t exist yet and commands were done in DOS, 640 KB of RAM, a 16-color screen, Chicago? It was just three lines: black, blue, gray, and green. Anyway, I remember a time when I spent my nights listening to Phil Collins and dreaming of flying on my small screen. I’ve loved FS since its beginnings and I still see its full potential, just like I did at the very start. I dreamed of it, others have done it, fantastic!! If you need ideas to improve FS, I have tons. I’ve presented some that the FS teams loved and keep asking for more. I’m only just starting out, which might surprise you, by now getting into the A320. It’s complicated to fully understand how an A320 works, but that’s part of the fun when you’re passionate about something. Since 8:30 am this morning, I’ve been learning about the MCDU (it’s 2:00 pm on my computer as I write this). There’s one thing I don’t understand. How is it that the MCDU concept has practically existed for half a century?! It’s a fantastic aircraft, that’s clear, but the interaction reminds me of Minitel in France; the ergonomics are completely archaic. Now that touchscreens exist, developers will have no trouble creating one with ease of use, an onboard safety system, AI, and so on. Furthermore, the A320 cockpit is magnificent, but so much wasted space: the pedestal, the sides, the front, the center panel, and so on. We could easily have several safety screens for this new MCDU in case of failure, etc. In short, it might be time to upgrade this, don’t you think?

Hi everyone! Just joined this community to report a bug I found, but I can’t find a way to open a new thread in the bug reporting hub…not a great start ![]()
