One problem with wish lists is that we’re not sure if they’re even technically possible considering the direction the developers are taking.

I’ve just noticed the latest Blog Update is saying 2021-22 for this feature…

Honestly, I don’t want to judge, and I can imagine no one is available in the team to implement this, but on the other hand this doesn’t look like something requiring a lot of work either, because the infrastructure for supporting this is already implemented. I mean there is already the event/commands system which exists, and there are already events binding commands to functions, what is holding back implementing this feature for so long? (the OP is from August 2020!)

I believe you can purchase add-ons which are compatible, but this still doesn’t mean they are working either:

One of these is, to make things clear, was not even moving when throttling up… And it was at the top promotion spot in the list of releases. Meanwhile I’m still waiting…

Having said this it wouldn’t be hard for the game to do this for you automatically though:

• Enforce that aircraft modelers tag their rotating blades object as “rotating blades” (which they already do if I’m not mistaken so that the game can choose among a set of more or less blurry textures ‘matching’ the rotation speed)
• When in VR, automatically change the alpha transparency of the texture like we’re manually doing otherwise.

And countless more like these, though there are knowledgeable people and 3rd party devs strongly willing to help but it seems we’re mostly ignored (not just RXP), if not blatantly accused of illegal activities. This can’t be right, and this doesn’t instill a fruitful dev to dev feedback spirit either.
