SU5, before....and after

You are going round in circles. :joy: I am done. Have a great life. Goodbye.

You were done before you even started.

There have been several interesting and helpful posts in this thread.

One poster managed a screenshot with exactly the right building type.
Another has mixed results.

Both of those posts lead the conversation towards finding out what the technical issue is and perhaps finding resolution to it.

Your approach of posting images that actually clearly show the issue along with comments that suggest you see nothing wrong does not drive us towards a technical solution. Posts like yours simply distract from achieving a solution because they are denials that a problem exists.

The problem exists.
It’s well documented in this thread and in many others across the forum.
It’s documented in other forums.
Simply denying it exists won’t help find solutions and it serves nobody.

Yours.

Somethingbrite.

Once and for all: Yes, there is a problem - it is with the data not downloading correctly in a few small area (such as Edinburgh). There has not been a deliberate downgrade and nothing here shows otherwise.

(Incidentally, the credibility jibe didn’t bother me the first time you said it. It didn’t bother me the second or third time either. So, it certainly didn’t bother me the fourth, fifth and SIXTH time you said it - like I said, going round in circles. )

You weighed into a thread where the issue (and how it was supposed to look) were clearly shown in the very first post.

You flew the area and posted screenshots of your own clearly showing the issue described in the original post and subsequent posts.

Despite even posting screenshots with the issue clearly visible you claimed it was fine.

But it doesn’t actually change the fact that you saw something that was clearly wrong and told people it was actually how it was supposed to look. - and then claimed later in the same thread that you don’t actually know how it’s supposed to look.

You already said ALL of that, several times before (like I said, circles!).

But, tell me - apart from disparaging me, personally, by trying to show that I don’t know which building Edinburgh should have and that I have ‘no credibility’ - what does ANY of that have to do with MSFS? What point are you trying to make? – beyond the personal one, obviously.

thanks! oh and @TwoSuitz i just circled these areas where it is clearly visible, though of course, every single building is the wrong one, compared to earlier versions, if you really can’t see that, well then… @somethingbrite is right.

And you believe that is due to a ‘deliberate downgrade’ of the SIM, do you? Not just a simple, localised data issue?

Also, once again, what does my credibility (or lack thereof ) have to do with MSFS?

Guys please… It’s just a game, no need for a fight. You made your point several times, move on.

I guess the next questions should be:

Where was the localized data issue in SU4?
If its simple why is it not fixed by now?

We know there were deliberate downgrades, this may have been an unintended result of the deliberate downgrades.

Downgrading on flight simmers is a gigantic error that will be discovered and not be forgiven until its fixed…its that simple.

well THAT is to some extend a whole different story.
one could wonder how, if not deliberately, you end up with the issues that sim has with changelogs looking like they do? some are bugs, as the resolved vanishing of the volumetric lighting was. The things that most simer are noticing are never mentioned in the changelogs, nor in the “known isssues”

here’s a list of things that got changed for whatever reason… and not for the good or better looking, heck not even better performance (despite the agressive occlusion culling)

That the autgen buildings are no longer correct in Edinburgh (and numerous other places) after SU5 and in many people’s experience continue to be incorrect after 2 hotfixes.

How is that not a data issue? Why does it have to be some deliberate attempt to downgrade? Do these particular archetypes cause issues with the xBox? Why are they there sometimes and not others?

I’ll ignore the ad hominem and not stoop to respond in kind.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

thank you for this post. It has helped me get rid of those oversaturated colors SU 5 induced. I went as far as 3.0 LOD, ambience temps are a little high here. I can deal with the pop ins until fix is in place. Helped a bunch… :+1:

somethingbrite & TwoSuitz please keep it civil and on-topic.

If you could please point out where I have been anything less than civil, even in the face of repeated personal attacks, I will be only too pleased to apologise.

TwoSuitz I’m not singling you out. I let you and somethingbrite go back and fourth but it seems like it’s getting out of hand so it’s best both of you agree to disagree and move on.

And future reference, if there’s any posts you feel like need attention from the mods just flag it. I have dealt with the posts that were directed at you accordingly.

Thank you. I did try to move things back on track and wasn’t really concerned about the personal stuff.

SU5 HF2: Same default airport. Same building. 2 different flights.

This is a common occurrence.

I had that happening at KPHL for me last night… removed my mods… (EVEN THE APPROVED ONES) and it went away…. The only ones I had was darkflys longitude mod and working title… then I added working title back in… and it runs fine… no half built buildings

You probably are, but just checking you are aware of the bug causing graphical levels to display incorrectly, requiring a change to Low then back to Ultra, before each session?

Could be a possible explanation - or maybe it is another example of the data issues?
